Does anyone here run a daycare center from their home? Right now I'm a nanny, but I'd like to consider running a daycare center from my house instead.
I have a ton of questions.....so if you do in-home daycare, please let me know!

I do home daycare, and have been doing it for 11 years this month! If you have any quiestions feel free to pm me or ask away and I will try to answer them as best as I can. I can say that the laws do change from state to state though.

If you are going to get licensed you can contact your health and human services in your area and I am sure they can answer your question also!

I've been doing daycare for a few years now. I think I will continue doing this now until my kids are grown and out of the house. I love it.

Most states have a website about their requirements for licensing. That is a good place to start.

Please guide me to the website that contains licensing information....I live in Colorado. I'd like to know the Pros and Cons of running a daycare center from home. Please share your experiences! How many children do you watch, how old are they? Is there a specific room in your house desginated for daycare kids, or do they roam around living room, dinning room table? What are the guidelines regarding the house structure? Does my house need to be a certain size, or have a certain amount of space for the daycare children? Last but not least....please give me an idea of what to expect for overhead costs. What precentage of your gross monthly income goes back into the cost of running the daycare?
