Home at BWV....update...Again

We are home at the boardwalk. We did not get a boardwalk view but we did get a room very close to the Luna pool. 1st floor 1st room of thehallway very close to everything. We arrived at noon. Went to MK at 3:30 and rode POC and sat for 1/2 hr waiting for the rain to stop. Walked over to the bears and it was still drizzling so we cameback and ate at ESPN, got right in and had a great meal. we walked over to Epcot and strolled around until Illminations started and came back to the room and we are going to hit the sack. I'll be checking in again and letting you all in on our days..nite for now!

Hey, whadya get to eat at ESPN? Glad to hear the food was/is good -- I think my dh is pining to go to the Lost Boys CLub, and we'll be at BWV next (definitely not our first DVC trip, yet oddly, our first trip to our DVC "Home"!)

Would love a "live" report on the BWV rehab project. If you have time, would you take a walk around the resort and let us all know where the scaffolding is???

I agree with CarolMN. We are going in June and I would like to know if there are any rooms to stay away from at check-in.

CK1 - I had the bbq pork sandwich and dh had the mahi mahi sandwich we also had a house salad. everything was very tasty.

CarolM - The scaffolding is facing the roadway standard view and on the perferred boardwalk side over the Wyland Gallery facing the courtyard only.

The map they gave us now has where the room #'s are located.

So let me tell you about today it rained this morning until oh maybe noon or so. We went to MGM (it is still on all the signs that I could see) only went to Muppets and the Backlot tour. Went back to the BWV for lunch picked up a turkey & cheese sandwich at Leaping horse, dh had a garden salad and we both shared so fruit salad we at on our patio and watch the people at the pool in the rain. Sun finally came out. Then we went to MK Went on Buzz only waited in line approx 5 mins. got off and rode again only took about 3 mins. Then to Small World in line maybe 5 mins or less. Here is thebest one got in line at Peter Pan sign said 20 min wait, CM handed dh a card to give to the CM at the loading area it was to check how long we waited in line guess what, this is the longest we waited 35 mins! It was because all the fast pass people show up no one was there when we got in line it was like everyone got there at the same time! Then we went to Casey's and had some dogs. Then we went and staked out a bench facing the RR station at 6:30 for the 8:30 Spectomagic andfirewoks. Left right as they announced it was the finale of the fireworks and got right on the bus for "home". We timed that JUST right. Had a slice opf pizza at
spoodles and now grtting ready for tommorrow. Not sure where we are going but I am sure we will have fun!

btw, you mentioned there is a new BWV resort map? and it has some general room# locations on it?
that's great news!
would it be too much to ask if you might possibly be able to scan a copy of the new map whenever you get home and unpacked?
i would love to take a look at it.

Have a great time...as I am sure you will. Our first visit to Boardwalk is in November....cannot wait. We have loved WVL (our home resort) and OKW...so very excited to try BWV next!

Wow! Loved reading about your day. You vacation similar to us. A couple of rides here, eat something, a couple of rides there, eat something else, do more fun stuff, have a snack.

Seriously, it made me very jealous. We will be there (in the area BCV) in just 25 short days. Or long ones, if you are my ds (5 yrs old).

The crowds in the parks are really sparce. The longest wait for anything was Peter Pan. We went on BL no wait and then got back on again still no wait. We did something on Sunday afternoon that was really different for us. We did "Tea" at the Grand Floridian. It was really nice. DH and I had such a nice time we will be doing that again, not sure again this trip but diffinitly when we come back.
Today, Mon. we went to MK in the am and went to visit an old friend in Winter Park this afternoon. He took us on a tour of the city. I have no clue where we were, but, he stopped in front of this million dollar "orange" color house. It had a brick and wrought iron fence around it. There was a giant bronze statue of a dicus thrower in front and some other smaller statues. The gargage door was open no car inside but some bicycle were hanging on the wall. So I asked whose house is this and he said Scott Thompson lives here AKA "Carrot Top". I immediately got out of the car with my camera and took a picture I hope they come out! We then went to a lovely Italian restuarant on a lake called "Enzio's" it was very nice. Had a view of a lake and the sun was setting we had a great time.
