Holy Cow! Tornado Warning for Massachusetts!

Wow and not too far from me. The towns of Marshfield and Scituate were being warned to look out but the worst of it is now over the water, thank goodness.

Tornados don't happen around here very ofter. I've seen two funnel clouds near here in my life but never one that actually touched down.

We haven't gotten anything, not even a drop of rain, so far this afternoon and we're only about 10 miles from the areas that were looking out for tornados. Go Figure?!

Yikes! My sister lives in Pembroke....right next door! It's getting a bit cloudy here with severe thunderstorm warnings until 7:00pm.

Tornados can form on water and move to land and vice versa.

Thanks for the warning! My parents live in Central Massachusetts, and I often learn things about what's going on up there by coming to these boards. Now I have an idea how they felt way back in 1953, when they lived down here in Texas, and their family was back in Massachusetts having a tornado.

That '53 tornedo went right thru our town!!! There have been sightings over the years but not too many thank heaven. My dd's best friend is away at a camp in Pembroke. Her first time away from home for more than 2 nights and what happens on her second night? THat horrendous thunderstorm. Poor thing.

our tornado warning at work cleared. here at home we had huge hailstones raining down. But my friend across town barely got rain. weird.
