The Brazilian air force said Thursday night that debris picked up near where officials believe Air France Flight 447 crashed Monday into the Atlantic Ocean was not from the plane.


A Spanish pilot said he saw an "intense flash" in the area where Flight 447 came down off the coast of Brazil, while a Brazilian minister appeared to rule out a midair explosion.

I was thinking it was probably the Bermuda Triangle as well. Its so strange. I'm not sure, though. I think its also very freaky, too.

I think everyone is. The new question is "If this isn't Flight 447, which flight was it and why didn't we hear about it?".

I thought we were more technologically advanced than to let something like this happen. This as in a plane disappearing into thin air. Granted the Atlantic is a very large ocean and there are a few areas that can be off radar, but this doesn't appear to have happened in one of those area. I'm just so dumbfounded; even the impossible is proving to be possible.

This is bizarre. This is crazy. This is NUTS! This is dumfounding. This is eerie. This is strange. This is odd. This is just downright creepy and weird.

I cannot imagine the heartache the loved ones of the passengers are going through right now. They finally get some sense of closure and then - *BAM* it's ripped away.

I'm more concerned about where the wreckage came from, if it's not this plane. Could this mean there was a mid-air collision? The only problem being why wasn't the other plane also missing...

It did say they were in a thunderstorm when the plane first went missing. I still think the pilots had spacial disorientation, where their perception of direction doesn't agree with reality. They could think they were flying straight, but are instead diving. Doesn't help when the horizon is shown on a monitor, because they'll start to think the equipment is broken, and when trying to fix it, are only making it worse.

I think they said the other wreckage was from a cargo ship or something.
