Tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly. :lmao: Really how is it. Who is there? We have the breakfast booked, but I am second guessing myself now. DS isn't crazy for these guys, but our breakfast is at 8:15 so we will be deeper in the park at rope drop right (as long as we are done eating in time)

I've done breakfast this past June and lunch last Nov and both times the food was okay. Really, how can you screw up breakfast? It was the basic selections. Lunch, wasn't anything special. If you don't HAVE to dine here, your not missing anything.

The characters are Jojo and Goliath and Leo and June from the Little Einsteins. It's a little different than other restaurants as they do a singalong with a host. It's very brief. It's cute if your kids participate. My kids like to watch.

My DS4 has a huge crush on June from the Little Einsteins and this is the highlight of his vacations. When DH gets the bill he always says $100 bucks on cr@ppy food, DS4 photo's with June - priceless! :rotfl:

This Nov we're going to skip it. I actually had it booked for Breakfast then DH asked me to cancel it. We're going to do an early lunch at the Sci-Fi instead. I'm hoping dining in the cars will excite my son and he'll forget about dining with June :rotfl2:

For breakfast, there are much better character meals out there. I also like how Chef Mickey's has breakfast pizza and Crystal Palace has breakfast lasagna, they didn't have anything "special" here. They also don't have the selection the other restaurants have.

It was just okay. I wouldn't go out of your way to dine there.

I have ADR's already and it's free dining so I just have to worry about the tip. I just don't want to miss out on something else by going here and he doesn't even care. KWIM?

I wonder if I should keep it just to be in the park before it opens? Anyone?

We go b/c my kids love the characters. If he is not into them, skip it and try something else.

Personally, I would skip it (we ate dinner there twice and it is now on our list of "never to return"). I would eat at one of the other breakfasts or have something in your room and just get to the park before rope drop.

After reading all the bad reviews, I cancelled our ADR here on August 25th, 5 people, 2:20, if anyone is looking.

We are going to PTC instead, we are excited about that! We, meaning "I", it's not like I am telling my kids about the ADRs or anything... All they care about is Chef Mickey's, CRT, and Donald's breakfast!

I almost didn't cancel, but I have an 8, 7, and 4 year old..and the girls will be fine with "just" the other character meals.

If your kids are into Playhouse Disney, they will love it.
We went for breakfast and the food was pretty good. The lunch and dinner reviews have not been so great.
My kids loved partcipating with all their favorite characters and we got to enter HS before everyone else because of early ADRs.

We did this breakfast last February and we LOVED IT! My husband still talks about how much he liked the food, and he's extremely picky. So I really think you need to take others opinions with a grain of salt. My DD4 had a blast with the characters and my littler one is now getting into those characters too so I know we'll be back for her!

Then keep it. It's not horrible, just the basic breakfast food. Your 4 year old will like it. It's cute. It's just not something to go out of your way for.

The fact that your on free dining and that you'll get into the park early, you have nothing to lose. The food will be worth the cost of your tip.

The service has always been excellant and I've never had to wait. We had a 9:05 ADR and got there at 8:45 and they took us.

Oh another tip, DHS lets you into the park at around 8:30, but you can only go down the main street (don't know the name??). you can't go past the hat or down the side streets. We were able to walk right to H&V. So it depends what time your ADR is if it's worth it to be there any earlier.

We find that DHS is not an early morning park for us. The majority of the shows begin at 10, 11 or even 12 noon. That's why this trip we're having an early 11:30 lunch at Sci-Fi. I'd rather get the family up and out early to go to MK at rope drop.

How about going to 50's Primetime Cafe or Sci-Fi for lunch?

Those are restaurants that your entire family will enjoy and you'll get more bang for your buck (free dining ts credit) on a lunch rather than a breakfast.

I know Sci-Fi starts serving lunch at 11am.

Just an idea if your looking to get more for your dining credits.

The chicken pot pie at the 50's Prime Time is delish! :thumbsup2

we just got back and this was a new one for us since our son (8 months) loves Jojo and little einsteins)

We had an 8:05 ADR and it was great. The resturaunt was empty great charachter interaction. One of the best we have been too. We also prefer breakfast ADRs and meals

We did the breakfast with our then 2 1/2 year old daughter. Six adults 1 child and we all loved it. The food was good enough. Selection is nice. They do a great job of spending time with the kids.
