Hollywood Studios strategy question

Hi! We are heading to Disney in June. This is my first trip in 12 years. This will be my child's very first trip. We are staying at AoA.

We have 4 things we want to do at Hollywood Studios. Can you suggest the best strategy?

*Toy Story Midway Mania (this is a must for my child)
*Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (a must for hubby and I; would like to ride at least twice)
*Star Tours
*Jedi Training Academy (this is a must for my child)

Since Toy Story and Rock 'n Roller Coaster are both Group A, we can only get one FP for those attractions.

From my research, it appears we need to be at the park when it opens and head straight to Jedi Training Academy to sign up.

This will be our only Disney trip for several years so getting into Jedi Training is very important.

Thank you for any tips!

If you and your husband don't mind splitting up, you can probably more easily get in the single rider line at Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and I'd choose Toy Story Mania as your FP+.

I'd also FP+ Star Tours. And I'd head RIGHT for Jedi Training to sign up the minute the park opens.

Completely agree. :thumbsup2

one of you could take your child to sign up for jedi while the other rides rnrc and maybe if still in line at jedi, switch parents, that way you dont blow a lot of early ride time signing up. You must do jedi signup very first or you will be out of luck though.

When in June? Star Wars Weekends is going on every weekend until June 14th

Thanks everyone! To answer post above, our HS day is planned for Tuesday June 2. The most important thing is Jedi Training. We aren't telling my older son about it so it will be a big surprise. Both my boys were Darth Vader for Halloween. Ever seen a 1 year old Darth Vader? Super cute!

We have no problem being at HS when it opens and running to sign up. Our plan is Sunday evening and Monday MK, Tuesday HS, Wednesday AK, and Thursday will be wherever we want to go back to. We will fill in the evenings with where we want to go at night.

Our FP window opens tonight. I have been following mesaboy2 so sounds like we can reserve our FP starting at 1:00 am.

Since Jedi is important to you I suggest if you have a choice when signing up to chose something early in the day if it is not raining already. We had a choice and picked time slot later in the day and we were then rained out. Do not take a chance if you have the choice and there is any rain in the forecast at all.
