Hollywood Studios fastpass planning

My wife and I will be going the first week of December. We are not rope droppers and we don't do morning extra magic hours. Since we usually get to the parks maybe 30 minutes to an hour after opening we typically set our first 3 fastpasses for the most popular rides we can get and as early as we can get. Then we go throughout the day trying to get more fastpasses.

We are trying to figure out the best choice for our tier 1 hollywood studios fastpass. I'll most likely be riding rock n rollercoaster solo and we don't want to take fantasmic so we can't do extra fastpasses throughout the day. Our only two choices then are Beauty and the Beast and Toy Story Mania. Which would be the better fastpass choice? The last time we went Toy Story Mania didn't have the extra track open yet. Has this changed much about the wait time for the ride? Is it pretty much just a toss up for which we should use a fastpass on?

We were there Aug 28. The line for Toy Story Mania was never less than 45 mins. Most of the day it was over an hour. But we were able to get more fast passes, for 3, after we used our first 3.

TSMM. You can get a Fantasmic FP later in the day if you want. Doesn't help a ton, but you can get it.

Looks like Toy Story is still the best option. Is a fastpass even necessary for Beauty and the Beast at all?

IMO while I really like Beauty and the Beast, consider it an excellent show and a must do, it would be a waste of a fastpass because it doesn't save you any time. Toy Story may have shorter wait times than it used to, but it still has a wait time that is shortened with fastpass.

I would also vote for TSMM, though I will also caution that the single rider line for RnR seems to take forever, far longer than my experiences on Test Track or Expedition Everest. So if you can get a 4th fastpass, it might be a good one to grab.
