Hollywood Studios and Genie

Heading down for our trip that begins in about a week. We’ll be at MK for two days and we’ve decided to go ahead and purchase G+ for MK days. As I’ve been looking at the crowds and wait times I’m really starting to think whether or not it’s worth it at HS. I fed that the general consensus is that G+ isn’t really worth it at EP and MK but seems I’ve been getting. Lot of mixed reviews. Thoughts? Also family 5 with 5,11 and 18 year old.

I know I enjoyed skipping several hour plus lines at Hollywood Studios. Personally I would do it in all the parks, but I usually go with a small group for a short trip and like to ride a lot of rides. If you go with a bigger group the cost will add up. And some aren't interested in half the rides and don't mind taking the parks at a slower pace. There's not one universal right answer. It kind of depends what you're trying to do in the park and how much time you'd want to save waiting in line to consider the cost worth it.

Hey Steve, check out the other thread here (all the big rides at HS gone by 1:07)- there are a lot of good comments about potential strategy if you do get it

personally, I would get G+ for HS and MK and do my best to maximize it.

This is true for every park, but at DHS if you provide a list of what your top priorities are in terms of attractions and shows, and how much time you intend to spend in the park, there are people here who can make suggestions on how you could use Early Entry (if you’re staying onsite), Genie +, and ILL to your advantage.

Then you can decide better for yourself if the extra cost is worth it to you in terms of how much less time you would spend standing in lines.

We definitely find Genie+ to be worth it for us at DHS. But, we are usually just a party of 2-4 adults and might have different priorities.
