We would like to spend the day at Hollywood Studios and have dinner at Cape May Clam Bake. What is the quickest way to get there? About how long does it take?

We took the boat from HS. BC is the 2nd stop. Seems like it only took about 15 minutes. But...remember this will take you to the back of YC and BC. You will have to walk by the pool to get to Cape May.

There is a boat. If I remember correctly it takes about 15 minutes dock to dock. No idea where Cape May is in relation to the boat landing so I can't tell you how long from there but I can't imagine it is too far.

'If' you walk to the boat dock at DHS and get right on a boat, then yes, it will be about 15 mins to YC/BC. But, if there is no boat coming in (that you can see), or if the boat is leaving the area, then you need to add at least another 15 mins to that time. You stand a much better chance of it taking a total of about 25-30 mins to get to BC from DHS if you take the boat.
If you walk, it will be 15 mins...period. I would walk, taking the sidewalk that runs beside the canal. When you get to the back of BW, behind Jellyrolls, go left, up and then to the right, over the bridge. You are now walking towards YC. You can enter at YC or keep walking along the boardwalk area until you get to the entrance to BC...either way will work.

Agree with pp. If the boat is just docking or about to then take the boat if you want. If not it is definitely quicker to walk. We stay at the BWVs and just walk back and forth. We have beaten the boat leaving the S/D stop most of the time. Its a nice walk if you decide to do it.

It's 1.2 miles from the exit turnstile at DHS to Cape May Cafe, so however long you think it will take to walk that distance.

The average person walking at a normal pace walks a mile in 20 minutes.

Even if you take the boat you will still be walking about .3 mile total from the exit to the boat dock at DHS and from the boat dock at the YC to Cape May Cafe.

It really won't be much difference time wise either way you choose.

Actually it's 1.2 miles from DHS to the Intl Gate at Epcot. Cape May could be a little more than half way, but not much. It's an easy walk, and I'm 71.:confused3

If the boat is already there at the dock and you are able to get on then I say to take it. However if it's not then you should use the walkway, so you can't go wrong no matter how you decide to get there.

Actually it's a little bit of a shorter walk from DHS to IG than it is to Cape May Cafe.

I have no idea as to actual distances, but I do know it takes me about 15 mins to walk from DHS to BW and about 8 mins to get to BC from BW. From BC to the Intl Gateway is about 5 mins.
No way would I say that BC is about half way between Intl Gateway and DHS.
