A big thumbs up to the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles for their accomodations for people with disabilities.
We had the pleasure of attending the "John Williams: Olympic Fever" program over the weekend. A friend made the reservations on Friday afternoon for Saturday's concert & was given excellent info about parking, getting to our seats, location of the elevators, etc. We were able to park in the parking lot closest to the Hollywood Bowl (my friend was told their handicapped parking was already reserved for Saturday night). From the parking lot, tram shuttles ran up to the main ticket gate area. Elevators took us to the picnic area & to the level where are seats were. Our seats were great - no steps necessary!
I plan to write a letter later this week lettingthem know how much I appreciated all their efforts in pre-planning & implementing how to accomodate guests with disabilities. If anyone here ever gets a chance to attend a concert at the Hollywood bowl, please go! Don't let the hills scare you off!
