The one thing that bothers me the most is when a entertainment figure thinks they need to use their star power as a political weapon. Stick to what your being paid millions to do. They are the last group I use to determine my vote. The millions of dollars we pay these people could go for alot better causes then their presence on a movie screen. I also think that just because you've made a couple hit movies it dosen't qualify you to run for a political office. Just my thoughts.

They have the constitutional right to spout pretty much any old rubbish, and you have the right to ignore them. There are many "stars" who use their ability to get press time to do some great things in raising public awareness, if a few numbnuts get on the bandwagon I think it's a small price to pay. JMHO

I agree! I know they have the 'right' to voice there opinion, of course they do, but that doesn't mean I have to like it or care.

It definitely affects my opinion of them and in turn affects whether I continue to see their movies, shows or buy their CDs or go to their concerts. And if they are spouting their views when they are 'on duty' that's even worse, like at a concert. I'd feel the same way if I went into McDonald's and had to hear what the counter person thought while placing my order. Now, I know they have a right to spout whatever the heck they want to, but I also have a right to not like it and avoid it at all costs and decide not to support them in their career.

Keep it to yourself. I don't care what you think. Do they care what I think? Don't think so.

They are tax payers just like the rest of us so if they want to speak out about their vote choice they can they just get a larger audience listening to them because of who they are. Remember that they probably get asked who they support by every reporter they talk to.

I read people's viewpoints here because I'm curious and a star's viewpoint is just as valuable, at least in most cases. :) I don't care what they believe and it doesn't affect me enjoying their work in any fashion.

I might listen to celebrity's political opinions if they weren't preaching about the environment then driving around in Hummers!

JMHO!

I always find it funny how the right is always crying about the leftist celebrities talking about their politics, yet they vote for the likes of Reagan and Schwarzenneger.

I ignore them, usually. A celebrity telling me their political views is not going to change mine. They have every right to take a position on every issue, however, it does not affect how I feel about them as actors/singers/whatever.

:D
