This will be my fifth straight HHN and I won't miss it for the world. I LOVE HHN mainly because of the houses, overall atmosphere and seeing others get scared. Personally, I've never had a bad experience.

this sounds excellent, do you pay extra for the express pass, is it worth doing, and if so how much extra on top of the regular ticket is it?

Yes...you pay extra for the EP which is definately worth it. The cost depends on the night you go. On off-peak nights (Sunday & Thursday) they run about $34.00 but on weekends, they can get to $65.00! I always do the EP when I go and won't go w/o it now.

so on peak nights you could be paying in the region of $135 plus per person, is that right, god, thats a lot of money for a nights few hours fun!!!!

Yes...of course we don't know what the tickets are going to be yet. I get the Frequent Fear pass that's only good opening weekend and off-peak nights after the first weekend. It's less crowded and the EP's are much cheaper. Also, if you have an AP or will be in the park the night you want to go to HHN, do Stay & Scream as this will help you get a jump on the lines.

Does the FOTL access you get during the day due to staying in an onsite hotel apply to HHN as well?

No...Halloween Horror Nights is a hard ticket event that requires a separate ticket for admission. Any FOTL access you have by staying onsite is not valid during HHN.

HHN last year I got the Express Plus and it was WORTH IT. All hauted houses in an hour and half hehe.

Do you have an AP? If so, you might want to try Stay & Scream this year. If you're already in the park before it closes and you have a valid HHN ticket for that night, you wait in a holding area and get a head start on the houses. We saw two last year before any crowds were there. Plus...you wouldn't need to use the EP until later meaning you could do several houses twice.

i need to talk & pick your brain (sounds ghoulish;) ) as the dates get closer (any sooner & i'll forget the answers lol)

*how about that Wednesday in October i'm hoping they throw in as they did last year...any gut feeling on whether they'll do a repeat? Wednesday, October 22nd:banana:

*Does the EP get you FOTL once each to all houses?

*Didn't AP holders get a $29 deal for "some off-peak nights" last year? Again, wonder if they'll repeat it?popcorn::

know Universal's not as big on advance planning as Disney is, just wish they'd announce dates, etc. ASAP for those of us who do split stays & need to plan Disney Tix purchases/ADRs:confused3

Pick away! The Express Pass gets you into each house AND attraction that's open during HHN. AP holders usually get the cheap nights on opening weekend. Not sure about the Wednesday night date but they will probably have a Wednesday night.

Okay, I've got 8 years too, just not in a row - couldn't go last year so I'm REALLY looking forward to this year. It is an awful lot of money, but the advice about mid-week (or early in the month is great too) is terrific, and Stay and Scream makes a big difference. :scared1:

Also Bill and Ted is a don't miss - some of the funniest stuff ever, year after year after year!

Hmm, Todd, will you be doing the RIP with me and Raven this year?!

The RIP (VIP tour for HHN is the best). That is the only true way to FOTL for the houses. As in, you cut even the express pass people. Plus, you don't have to show up early to hold your seat at the shows. It rocks!

That's the plan! :thumbsup2
