2 adults 30s arrive WDW resort Oct 31 - Nov 3.

It's a short visit, would love some advice on itinerary:

Option 1:

Epcot Sunday afternoon and evening

Universal 2 park/2 day pass for Mon/Tues (or a 1 day/2 park pass)

Option 2:

Universal Holloween event (is it too crowded to enjoy rides?)

Epcot on Monday or Tuesday

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Of course I'd recomend Universal and the HHN event on Sunday and to save Epcot for later.

From some reports I heard, HHN isn't too crowded (actually was told this by a UO security guard last year as he checked our bags on entry) on Halloween, but other people say it is packed.

I don't think you would get a chance to do many rides at UO during the short event, but if you are determined you could do a couple and a few haunted houses.

All depends how much running you want to do your first day in Orlando. If you aren't getting to UO untill early afternoon, it may not be worth buying a park ticket (definately not worth buying a 2 park ticket) and a HHN pass, since the park closes by 5pm to get ready for the event.

With Epcot, it does take quite awhile to see the park. It is huge and requires a lot of walking and there is quite a bit to see there.

I assume the HHN event is a separate ticket, so if we arrive early enough on sunday would you suggest we get a regular park ticket and also the HHN ticket?

It's our first visit to US so perhaps we should go to HHN and then buy a separate ticket for Monday and then go to Epcot on Tuesday?

Thanks for the advice.

Hi again L5, well if you like Halloween events, HHN is the one to see. I like the idea of going to Epcot Tuesday and Universal Monday. But I would recomend picking up a 2 day pass, it isn't much more than a 1 day 2 park ticket. This way you can do BOTH parks, and I would recomend going to UO Sunday afternoon, get a STAY & SCREAM pass for $35 each (HHN admission only is $60). Stay at the parks untill the HHN event, then come back the next day to see everything you didn't get to see the 1st day.

Then finish off your trip at Epcot Tuesday.

UO has a lot of things to see and do, and it really is impossible for 1st timer to see half of what they have to offer in just a day. 2 days isn't even enough.

This is just my advice tho. It really depends what you like, and why you are going. I'm sure others will have opinions, but mine is maximize your purchase and time. It probably will cost the same to do Stay and Scream and get a 2 day park pass (you may even get a 3rd day free), then it would be to buy seperate HHN tickets and 1 day 2 park passes.

Is this your 1st time to Orlando?

Great advice!

I just went back to the universal website to search for the scream pass you mentioned, two day park pass with unlimited access to both parks is around $99pp, and the scream pass for $35pp. Great deal.

Thank you! I would not have seen this option.

I've been to Orlando once, when I was about 10 years old, to MK and Epcot. I'm really looking forward to returning.

Thanks again!

Cool, glad you found that. It is a pretty decent deal.

Since you are going to be staying at a Disney resort and only visiting Epcot one day, have you figured out your transportation yet?

Unfortunately the Disney complex is about 10 miles from the Universal complex. But I don't know much about transportation that would be available from Disney to I-Drive.

If you have a car, it won't be any problem. And with the price of mears shuttles (I think about $25 for a round trip for 2 adults) the car rental may be the best bet.
