Hollister and A&F Appropriate for 10 year old girl?????

I have also written down the latest Hannah book and DVD and the latest AG book series. I will have one of us pick these up for her with gift receipts in case she already gets them.

I have to say that you are very generous with your niece. You are buying her a lot of stuff, considering you have little or no contact with her.

I dont know what we are buying her exactly but yes we have always gotten her a lot. Still working on ideas. It was actually her mom(SIL) who set the bar when they were younger and when she was actually speaking to everyone.

I dont want my niece to suffer bc of her parents esp her mom.

Last year we were actually holding back on shopping for her bc the contact had really become nonexistant. DH wanted me to hold off and see what they sent our kids and then we would reciprocate similarly, ok fine. Christmas came and went, no word from them, MIL and FIL were devastated. The Friday after Christmas we get a phone call about 9:30 at night saying oh we (BIL and DN) wanted to stop by tom if you are around. Well my kids love their cousin and we want to try and see her so we said sure tom would be fine. Well DH decides he doesnt want her to have just a gift card, he wants her to have presents. So there I was at mall opening running around like a crazy woman buying her, BIL, and even witch SIL gifts. I did ok since I have two boys and dont know what is cool except for my observations of DS10's classmates and my next door neighbor. So anyway they show up later (DH stayed home and cleaned) with bags of toys(nothing of what my kids are into) and clothes, all too small, no gift receipts, later when I try to exchange find out they are from Gap Outlet (nothing wrong with that just I cant exchange the stuff for my younger DS, at least the older ones stuff, although too small for him, can be used for DS4 someday)

Sorry this is so long, I am just frustrated with all the drama and I am preparing myself with ideas so I know where or what to get once DH decides how we are "handling" them this year.

Also MIL called last night asking me what Hollister was bc she thought they were an ostomy bag company which theya re but they are also the clothing store (that is the problem when you work in healthcare I guess ) Anyway I offered to pick up a gift card from there for her if she wanted and mail it to her but I told her how I felt that store was a little old for DN10 but it she wanted me to go and get I certainly would.

So that is kind of what prompted the question in the first place.
