I have seen so many Posts stateing how bad it is and how not like the original. My question since I will be ariving after the last party will disney show holiday wishes at all during the days preceding Christmas i arrive the 22 or 21 something like that. I would love to see the fireworks. I was hopeing to get to a party but due to school and other issues like money its not possible this year.

SO my question Is : Is holiday wishes that bad? will they show it for the general public after the parties are done? and if they dont show them is their somewhere to see them online or something?

Flame suit on for those thinking "she wants to see what we paid good money to see" no I am just curios after seeing so many negative remarks

I have no idea which version will be shown, but I will go on record saying I LIKED HOLIDAY WISHES!

I didn't like it at all. I thought it was a huge disappointment. It's nothing at all like the original, and it doesn't have the emotional power that Wishes has. A CM told me I would need a box of tissues. Not so. I was so disappointed in it. My DH thought it was good, but wasn't over the moon about it either.

We only saw HW at MVMCP. The other nights we saw the regular Wishes, and I was soooo glad! :cloud9:

I'm not a Wishes expert, having only seen it once before. But, what I liked most about the Holiday version was not being sure when it would end. It seemed to have multiple endings. For those who want to be surprised, I don't want to spoil it, but be prepared for a terrific ending to some great fireworks.

I saw it on Tuesday night and liked it very much. Then on Saturday evening we watched regular Wishes from the observation deck of the Contemporary and liked it (again) too. The bottom line is that I liked both, but Illuminations is still my favorite.

Not sure about what is showing when but I will say Holiday Wishes is not bad, just not what I (or many others I spoke to expected). It's a good holiday story with some great special effects but if you are a WISHES lover and expecting WISHES, you'll be disappointed. If you going thing it's the holiday show, I think you'll be very happy

Thank you for all the answeres. I only hope they play it during christmas after all the partys are done (really kicking myself for not being able to go I have been ounce and loved it) so maybe our first or second night they will show it special or something... Christmas we will be at Epcot we have lunch sceduled and than I am hoping to see the CP with John Stamos (full house fame)

Mery christmas to all and happy hanica (sp) happy Kwanza I know im missing something so Happy season trying to hit every one

You really can't compare the two. I think they should call it something else besides Holiday Wishes. Wishes is classic and if you've see it a lot, you might be disappointed in the HW. I however, enjoyed the HW and looked at it as NOT being the usual Wishes show. We also saw Wishes twice and I was glad we did.

Now, the tissues are needed at the end of Illuminations - at least they were for me and just about everyone standing around me!

I was disappointed. I saw Holiday Wishes on 12/4 at MVMCP and I expected a Christmas version of Hallowishes. Illuminations with the "Let There be Peace on Earth" ending is a must see!

Not sure what the problem with them are. We LOVED them.

I knew they'd be nothing like original Wishes, just as Hallowishes was NOTHING like original Wishes. I was excited to see Tink though; that was a nice surprise. No one flew down for Hallowishes, unfortunately.

I loved it so much, I bought the CD!!

We saw them and LOVED them. Everyone around us was just blown away by the awesome display.

I thought they were fantastic and the crowd I was in did, too. All around me people were just in awe.

I really can't imagine anybody complaining about them. :confused3 I also saw them from the Polynesian lounge and they were great from a distance, too. Just beaufiful.

WE LOVED HOLIDAY WISHES!!! IT IS TRUELY A FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR EVEN BY DISNEY STANDARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, it does not have the emotional music that opriginal Wishes does, but it does really go above and beyond in terms of fireworks, IMHO. We were very impressed. I don't know how anyone can be disappointed just due to the fact that the fireworks were a sight to behold. Kids will love it for sure even if adults have been "cynical" about it. You can't please everyone it seems.

Enjoy it!

We saw it at MVMCP on Nov. 29, and we loved it :lovestruc Just like the above poster said---the ending is amazing.

I think a lot of people were expecting the regular Wishes with some holiday touches, and it's not, it's completely different. But I must say, I thought it would be hard to top the regular Wishes in terms of fireworks, but they did! There's a lot of special fireworks and castle effects that aren't used in the regular Wishes. After a few minutes, I was just standing there with my jaw dropped, I couldn't believe it. Everybody was in awe. I've never seen the whole crowd just standing there silent and not moving at all like that- nobody moved a muscle. It is true that since holiday music is used instead of Disney movie music, it may not have the emotional effect on some people, but I still think it's the most spectacular fireworks I've ever seen. And it does get you into the holiday spirit. It really is a must see. I hope they run that again as the fireworks between Christmas and New Years, I'd like to see it again. It was worth the price of the party ticket though just to see that.
