Two of my cruise t shirts have arrived and are fantastic. The next project is evening gowns for the Transatlantic cruise. There is no way my existing ones will still fit me come September. It is going to be marginal at best for the Med cruise next month. I have lost about 2.5 stones now and my clothes are just hanging off me. I am a bit reluctant though to buy too much new stuff as soon this will no longer fit me either.

Corinna

2.5 stone ... thats fantastic Corinna ... well done. I would like to lose a stone before the cruise and I am not buying any cruise clothes until I am a stone lighter ... hopefully by July ( and the sales!). I wish we knew how many formal / semi formal nights we were having though as I might be shopping for new dresses too. Did you design your cruise t-shirts yourself?

No, I have no talent whatsoever if it comes to design. We have some very talented people on that cruise meet thread though. One of them did the designs for the t shirts for this cruise and the other did a couple of designs for me for the Transatlantic cruise.

That's exactly what I plan to do. ::yes:: Each time an item is too big for me I am binning it straight away!!!! :thumbsup2

I bet you'll find that very theraputic, and it'll be so much fun going out and buying some new clothes :thumbsup2

Well done on losing 2.5 stone Corinna :woohoo:

I love Cruise shopping Sarah, it's my fave kind of shopping ::yes:: Let us know what you buy when you start shopping. I've never had to buy for semi/formal nights and would love to one day buy a long gown

I used to have that, last summer i finally purged my wardrobe so i cant fall back into my old habits (and clothes)
I still haven't done that - maybe I should. Years ago tho', I did a really, really stupid thing. When I put ON weight and couldn't see how I was going to lose it, I binned all my smaller clothes as I couldn't bear looking at them.. :sad2: Most insane thing I ever did as I ended up giving an evening suit (ladies tux and trousers) to charity. I loved that suit and miss it for formal occasions as I prefer that outfit to a dress... Never found another one that was such a great cut... I'm virtually crying now!!!

Good for you!!! :woohoo: When (or do I mean if I ever!!! ) move bedrooms, I'll cull all my ancient and wrong size clothes... ;)

That's brilliant, Corinna!!! :worship: Well done and enjoy shopping for new clothes for the TA cruise - can't wait to see what you buy... :goodvibes

I think I may even burn them! :lmao: I am just going to keep one pair of jeans so that I can measure against them to see how I well i've done. :thumbsup2

I am looking forward to buying lots of new clothes. ::yes:: I don't want to buy many at the moment though, until I get to my goal.....which is a long way off!

Oh no! :guilty:

I am actually the opposite, I've kept some clothes from about 15 years ago.....even if I could fit in them I wouldn't want to wear them. :confused3 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We bought our house 10years ago from a women (late thirties) we knew. She lived here on her own, there are built in wardrobes in the two biggest bedrooms and she one room full of "fat" clothes and the other full of her thin clothes. She was a career women who I would say regularly varied from extremes of a size 12 to a 18! I couldn't believe it when I saw it but now I've struggled with my weight in the the last seven years I can now understand:lmao:
My clothes (jeans etc) are starting to loosen and I will buy some summer clothes in the size I am now close to and aim to buy my autumn/winter clothes in a size smaller still:)

Good idea:thumbsup2
I know its expensive but its no good using safety pins to keep trousers/skirts up when you lose weight - there is no incentive to keep on if you can update your wardrobe as you go along.
They dont have to be expensive things but feeling and looking good are all part of losing weight - and you cant do that if your still in your "fat persons" clothes.

I've only been up and down from a 12-14/16 but my bigger and smaller clothes would be out of fashion by the time I wear them again:rotfl: Dont mind being bigger but dont want to be unfashionable with it:rotfl::rotfl:

I'm SO pleased!!! Just discovered the perfect sandals for sightseeing on our DCL Med cruise in August!!! :woohoo: I wanted something stylish but fairly flat with a back so I could wear them with white jeans. Oh and I didn't want to pay a fortune... ;) Anyway, I spotted these from Clarks and I like them so much I'm getting two pairs... :goodvibes

I just had a look at your signature and realized that we are both heading for Bay Lake Towers and on a DCL Med Cruise this year. I am doing the first Med cruise (only 43 more sleeps until I am on the Magic) and then will stay at Bay Lake Towers after our Transatlantic cruise. By the way, when in October will you be at Old Key West?

I can't wait to hear what you think of the Med cruise, Corinna - I'm so excited to be onboard in August!!! Claire (Pinky166) and I are holidaying together at BLT in June - can't wait for that either... As for the October/OKW trip - sadly it's looking increasingly like it won't happen as my DH's workload just won't allow it. But, in theory, we'll be there from October 17th until 27th... ;)

OKW is our home resort, but this time BLT won out as we only have 5 nights at Disney. I am really looking forward to it. We had a look around last year and liked what we saw. DH has always wanted to stay at the Contemporary Resort. I wondered if we might be in Florida at the same time, but we will be there October 2nd to 7th.

I am Mandy, just to have the time to shop at the mo would be a bonus. I need to hold my nerve and make sure I make it down to that first size step down. I reckon another 6 weeks and I'm there. I can suffer my existing clothes until then:thumbsup2

I did see these in Clarks today, I was getting shoes for the girls, but these really caught my eye, and I like all the colours!

Clarks flats

When I saw you'd posted on the thread I thought you might have bought that dress you didn't need from Debenhams, but it looks like you didn't :rolleyes1

Sadly no, I only saw the dress for the first time on their website yesterday, and it wasn't in the Coventry Debenhams, so I may need to either wait or get to a bigger store

This is the dress
