I finally got up the nerve to bid on Hotwire. 3.5* WDW location, amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Hi speed Internet - $35 I checked on betterbidding.com first and made an educated guess at which property this was. Turns out, they were correct, and it is indeed the Holiday Inn on Hotel Plaza Blvd. (formerly Marriot Courtyard) We'll stay here for our first 3 night in May (2-12) before moving to the Dolphin (gov. rate using Dreams Unlimited) for 4 nights.. Now I just need to muster up the courage to try Priceline for a resort for our last three nights! Wish me luck!

Holiday Inn 1805 Hotel Plaza Boulevard, for $34 in july over a weekend. I hope we did good! I'm nervous. But anyway its done.

Please tell me what other charges Hotwire includes... What was the total amount of your room per night including Hotwires other charges (if any). I have never used Hotwire so any info you can give me would be great! Thanks!

Emmy

I paid about 10.00 total for their booking charges. I dont have my receipt here. But I would advise taking advantage of the travel insurance so if something serious comes up and you can't go you can get your money back.

I also learned last night this is the old courtyard by mariott!

Yes, this property used to be the Courtyard by Marriott. It was bought out by Holiday Inn. I paid $35 per night for three nights.
3 x $35. = $105 + $18.95 taxes and booking fee. Total: $123.95 was immediately charged to my credit card.

Wow, that's a great deal. I just got La Quinta Inn Lakeside(Formerly Sheraton 4 Points) for $25/night.....god bless hotwire :p

QuickGold, what were the star amounts and amenities for La Quinnta Inn? Was it WDW or Kissimmee? Thanks!

Emmy

I'm going to continue to monitor Hotwire as well as betterbidding and hope I can snag a resort of 4* for a few extra nites at a great price. I'm still a little chicken to try Priceline.

2.5 stars, it was officially in WDW zone even though the hotel is in Kissimmee.

I would love to get this rate but I am nervous about bidding. Is it posible they have 2 hotels with similar descriptions and I will get stuck outside the park?

There is another board that moniter's hotwire results www.betterbidding.com. If you look in the Florida Hotel list- you will find the amenities of the hotels that have been won in the past.
Hope that helps!!

I got LaQuinta for $22/night on priceline this week for 2/1-2/6. It's a 2* on priceline but I'm pleased with it.

Hello, Please could you let me know the amenities for this hotel? Thanks for your help

:D

Thanx Quick Gold,
but I chickened out and booked All-Star Movies yesterday. The Holiday Inn prices on hotwire weren't available for my dates anyway. I saw what I suspect is the Swan on there for $158 per night. That one said customer favorite, resort, and a bunch of other ammenities. In customer reviews they talked about the white down comforters and being in the middle of everything disney.

Too bad you couldn't take advantage of it....I wish I could go back in time and undo my Hotwire ressie and go for Holiday inn. Oh well :)

Is it Hotwire that offers the travel insurance? How much is it?:hyper:

Can anyone who has stayed tell me anything about this hotel, I'm only staying one day before moving to a villa but I still would like to know.
Is this on Disney Down Town?
What is within walking distance?
Thanks
