Has anyone ever stayed at the Holiday Inn SunSpree with kidsuites?

We are going in March, and this is the first time we have stayed off-site.

We are not expecting it to be the same, but are hoping for the best.

Have any tips or advice about this hotel, location, transportation?

thanks

We stayed there 4 years ago for a couple of nights before moving over to the HIFS for a 10 night stay.
It was okay, but we definately preferred HIFS.
I guess it depends on what you are looking for and the price you are paying.
I can't help but think that if you had been staying on site that you may be dissappointed with the Sunspree.
We are heading back to Orlando in a couple of weeks and found that Hotel Kingdom had a great deal for Cypress Pointe. We booked a 3 bedroom condo for $84.00 a night.
I would stay at the Sunspree again, but probably wouldn't want to pay more than $55.00 a night. It was clean, but the age of the hotel was fairly evident at that time.
IMHO it was average for accomodations and with all the choices available I would check into other options first.

Good Luck in your planning.

Ditto, we didn't stay in the kids suites, but I was less than impressed with the standard rooms and facilities in general.

I was just going to post a review.
Keep in mind that this was a quick weekend trip before our cruise, not our entire vacation.
I got a great rate of $45.00 for a family room.
It is an older resort. The room was large and clean but older, worn. It had a comfortable king bed, a divider with a bunk bed, separate TV and dresser on the other side. Very quiet room.
It had a small little area with a fridge, micro & coffee maker then the bathroom. Also a table and two chairs and a safe.
It was very cute at check-in because they had a small check in area for the kids. My son got a big kick out of this. The staff couldn't have been nicer. they gave him arcade tokens, a cookie, and juice at check-in, along with a bag of stuff to do. They have a cute little movie place with a few movies playing. A nice arcade, an ice-cream place, gift shop and deli along with a lounge and buffet restauarnt. There was a fairly large pool too.
I saw themed kid's suites. I never took the shuttle but inquired about it. It left about 4 times from early morning until noon then pickups later on.
I would stay again for a few days but probably not much longer then that.
I wouldn't pay more then $75.00 or so per night for the family room. It's not far from Disney, actually a great location, just a bit worn for me.
