Any recent reviews of this hotel? I'm still trying to decide on a pet friendly hotel, and we can get a pretty good Fl. res. rate here. Also, how far is it from DTD? TIA :)

Update: I looked this up on Tripadvisor.com & it looks like I'm going to have to keep searching. :(

where is this holiday inn actually located on international drive?

I stayed at HI Resort 6515 International Dr for a conference in Oct 2004. I felt the hallways were dingy in the towers, but could see where they were working on giving them a new coat of paint. Once in my kingbed room it was fine. The room was very spacious, clean and had a microwave, coffee maker (only one cup at a time), and a good sized refrigerator. I overlooked International Drive. Virgin has an office there, and I heard many British accents in the hotel. I wouldn't choose to spend $99 there again (the conference rate) but the College was reimbursing me for my stay.

Oh, and it's near Universal, great for lunches at Sweet Tomatoes, which I did twice, and for hitting the Belz Outlets, but 15 minutes at least to DTD/

Pass on the holiday inn and go with the Holiday Inn Xpress, which is right next door. This hotel was great. Stayed there the first week of June for 7 nights, and the only complaint I had was completly out of the hotels hands (I-Drive was closed for like 4-5hrs and it was a very loud stretch of road, let me tell you).
Anyways, staff was great, complimentary breakfast every morning was great, 2 min drive to Universal...very impressed. As for DTD it took us about 25-30mins to get to DTD, there was a little bit of traffic though.

I just stayed at the Holiday Inn Covention Center right near Universal. It was the nicest Holiday Inn room I have ever had. Quiet as can be. The room has a king bed, sofa bed, micro, fridge and coffee maker. You just took a left out of the parking lot and drove less then two miles and US was right there. The room looked new. I got it for only $54.50 a night with the entertaimnet card rate.

we atayed at the holiday inn converntion center for the past two yrs and will be staying there agian this march!!!! love it!!!!

we usually get one of the suites and its awesome!!!
