Holiday Inn Int. Dr. - Opinions Please?

I am trying to help a friend of mine who is planning her family's first trip to Disney and Universal. She has booked 8 nights in March 2004 at Holiday Inn International Drive. I initially thought it was HIFS, but just found out it's this one. I am trying to convince her to re-consider her plans, especially since she is figuring this to be their one shot coming to Disney. They will not have a car, and will be depending on shuttle service back and forth from the parks. I'm concerned about that, and I have asked her to inquire about staying onsite for 1/2 the stay and then onsite at Universal for the other 1/2. It's a busy time of year, and I think that the perks of staying onsite is worth considering if they want to do it right. What do you guys think? Your feedback will be passed along and might help make her feel better about her current reservation, or make her change her mind. Thanks a bunch!

Do you know which Holiday in on international drive?

there are a few one is actually listed as being on universal blvd which is listed as convention center ( ihave stayed here)
then there is
a holiday inn express and

then there is the holiday inn/international drive resort

there is also a holiday inn down on Kirkman road which is near universal studios

I believe it's the Holiday Inn International Drive Resort.

I stayed there back in 2000. It's an OKAY Holiday Inn, It's in a VERY busy part of I-Drive, so she can function without a car if she doesn't mind that.

I stayed during the Memorial Day weekend and it was PACKED! It has a small pool and it was so jammed we couldn't find a spot to even stand in.

The rooms had a microwave and fridge, which was nice, but the rooms are pretty typical.

NOTHING like the HIFS!
