Holiday Inn in Downtown Disney news

Hi,
I'm not sure if anyone is interested but i got an email from the reservation manager of this hotel. It has been closed since the storms and they are targeting for a june 1st reopening.
here is part of the email:

'Everything will be renovated including all guest rooms entirely, all meeting and banquet rooms, lobby, atrium, restaurant, and building's exterior. '

He also said there will probably some reopening specials and discounts but the details are being worked on still.

I drove by on I-4 a few weeks ago and it did look to me like they were redoing the outside, inside roof etc....;

Just wondering? Do you know if this is w/in walking distance to DTD? We'd like to do some shopping and eating there. Just wondering if we could walk over or if we'd have to take the car.

it was the marriott courtyard - and yes definitely within walking distance of DD.
