Holiday Inn Express, Glasgow Airport

Could anyone provide me with some feedback about it please. Thinking of booking there for an overnight stay before our flight to Orlando. It is right next to the Airport terminal building so looks very convenient but as it is a budget hotel I'm concerned about the level of sound insulation. Not only is it right next to the airport but it is also under the M8 flyover !

Phil ~ haven't actually stayed in the hotel but I pass the airport every day on my way to work.

I will be in the airport next week, so if you want I can pop into the hotel and have a nosey for you.

There is also a Brewer's Fayre in the airport as well, with a hotel attached. Not quite as convenienct as the Holiday Inn Express but certainly within walking distance.

I've researched the hotels as much as I can on Trip Advisor and as far as I can see there are 5 close to the airport. All of them except the Holiday Inn Express get fairly negative reviews but nobody seems to have anything bad to say about Holiday Inn Express except for a couple of people who complained about road noise.

I think the Brewer's Fayre is in the TravelLodge (or is it the Travel Inn?). I thought the Holiday Inn Express looked newer and fresher and the reviews on Trip Advisor seem to bear that out.

Phil can't really say that we noticed much noise when we stayed,the roadworks have finished on the Whitecart interchange so traffic at normal times of night aren't too heavy anyway.The rooms were clean & the restaurant was reasonable,for an overnight stay we couldn't really fault it & it's only a short walk to the terminal.
