Holiday all paid!!!

Just rang Disney and paid up the holiday, two weeks at OKW with free dining plan, going on 11th Sept flying with Thomas Cook. Requested a top floor studio overlooking the waterway so fingers crossed - can't wait to sit out on the balcony at OKW and just relax...

The idea of enjoying a glass of wine on an evening after a day in the parks is what's really motivated me during the ridiculous hours of overtime I've done to pay for the holiday in the first place!

I made my request whilst on the phone earlier this afternoon Wayne, just like to say thanks for the info - I'd be over the moon if I got that view! Grateful for the help and advice mate.

Yes, that was our view last August from a OKW studio. Hope we get somewhere as good this August.

Never requested a room, all I ask for at check in is upstairs, we don't want a ground floor room. I don't really mind where we are, even last year when we had such a nice view I only went out there to take a few pics, we only use room to sleep in. Thats why next August we are considering offsite again can stay in a good resort for £23/night with fridge, microwave, safe & internet.

I think we are going to book OKW for next year, a beautiful view you had from your room Wayne. Plus we have the refurb which will be completed by the time we visit!

Definately ask for an upstairs room if staying at OKW. When we were there we had a ground floor room. One night we found a frog in our room, it still gives me the shudders to think that it could have been crawling all over me during the night, or even sitting on my face whilst I was sleeping.

Lets hope when we are the YC this year, that we have a high up room too.

We had plenty of frogs(and other critters) upstairs last year but none in the room thankfully.
We always go upstairs now, I know its not a lot better than ground floor but in past had lizards in room and another occasion had cockroaches, just feel better high up.

That's pretty much the reason I'd like a top floor room if possible, you can't have all that beautiful greenery around and not expect there to be insects and other 'visitors' (have seen photo's of a snake at OKW!!!).
