Holding points and waitlist...

We have 45 holding points that need to be used by the end of February. We would like to visit WDW sometime in October or November if possible. There is nothing available right now. Is it possible to waitlist and request that holding points be used if the waitlist comes through?

If the wait list is matched at 60 days or less from check-in, they should use any points in holding first. If the wait list is matched more than 60 days from check-in, holding points can't be used.
