So there are holding areas we need to go to if we are staying in Universal to Halloween Horror Nights. I have read one holding area may be Diagon Alley, if so are there places to eat while we are waiting? Thanks!

One of our nights, we started in Springfield and hit Walking Dead, Purge, and Insidious in no time. While waiting for Bill and Ted, we cruised into Diagon Alley. Walked on Escape from Gringots and checked out the details in Diagon Alley. Anyway, to answer your question, Leaky Cauldron was open and feeding muggles. This was 3 weeks ago, but I assume the info is still good.

I always do the New York holding area that has Finnegan's to grab a bite before the event.I also prefer this holding area since it's close to the soundstage houses which are usually some of the first to open for Stay and Scream guests.

Yeah, good to know! I want to eat at Leaky Cauldron while we are waiting.

Contrary to my plans, we decided at the last minute to do Diagon Alley. We ate at Leaky Cauldron then rode Gringotts twice during the holding time.

We did the Simpson's area and hit the 3 houses mentioned above, very quickly. We got there about 4:45 and everyone was let out about 5:45. It was great!

Yeah...Springfield is the best way to go. Both holding areas (Springfield and Diagon Alley) are let into the back area near MIB about the same time. They keep the folks from DA holding right before the bridge in front of MIB and let them over around 6PM.
