Okay, I have never stayed at HoJos, but have read for years about people here on DIS praising it like it's the Heaven of Motels.
Here's what I don't understand if they are so fantastic: If this rate and availability is shown on their website, why does it matter if the original poster is talking to a national call center or to Lorelei? Shouldn't HoJo's honor what is advertised on their web site?
I would be livid if I was having the OPs experience - and probably take my business elsewhere. Can someone who is a HoJo expert explain this to me, please. Thanks!

Dreams, I'm one of those that has sung the praises of HoJo's in the past. But there is no explanation. It appears to this biased observer that HoJo's has been tripping over their own toes recently, and it's a shame to see. What others have said on the thread about their cancellation policy change is not that we won't stay at HoJo's ever again, but that they've lost our loyalty. It's no longer automatic. I agree with this, and in the future, I'll do a more diligent job checking for alternatives before automatically booking HoJo's.
I agree with you that the OP should be livid about this. I hope and expect that, if she gets hold of the on-site staff at HoJo's on Monday, they'll fix this for her (give her the ET rate).
In any case, though, I'm saddened to see the recent customer service lapses at this establishment. I sincerely hope they get their act together again soon.
