HoJos Maingate East Reviews $42.00?

Has anyone stayed at the Howard Johnson Maingate East recently. I did a search and came up with posts from 2003 but not many from 2004. We booked 1 night here labor day weekend at $42.00 before we check into Pop Century. We just need it to shower and sleep after our drive from Long Island.

I stayed there a while ago and it was fine and clean but it was not recent.

I think for that price you can get a 3* hotel on Priceline

We stayed there in 2001. It was nothing special. But for the price we were happy. We were in the parks all day anyway so all we needed was a clean bed and shower. We are going back in 2006 and we plan on staying there again.
