Would someone please tell me about the entertainment card you referred to? I'm planning on staying some of the trip next year at Hojo's. Is it a card only Cali residents can purchase?
Granny, I just happened to post about this yesterday, so I'll cut and paste that response here:
Here's the Entertainment rate deal:
You get the book, which has a card stuck inside the cover. You can order it online from Entertainment.com. As I said in an earlier post, you can get the card only for free plus shipping from E-bay right now, because it expires Nov. 1st. Otherwise the books costs from $25-40, depending on where you live. If you were to get the book for next year, go ahead and order it for your own area; it doesn't have to be for Orange County. All you need is the card.
A bunch of hotels do the Entertainment rate; HoJo seems to be the closest 3-star hotel that does it for such a good rate. Here's their calendar which shows the dates it's available:

In your case, DoomBugger, you're fine; all your dates are listed there. If you are ever looking and don't see your dates, keep in mind that it gets updated frequently. For example, there were NO dates for July until all of a sudden, the last week in June, about a dozen July dates opened up. I would call ASAP, though, because they do sell out.
The Ent rates are $59 a night for a standard room, $74 for a deluxe room. The deluxe rooms are recently renovated; you get them overlooking the garden pool (building 2) or with a view of Disneyland (building 1; these upper floors have a great fireworks view). They have a dorm sized fridge, a microwave, new pillow-top mattresses, and most of them have balconies.
Here's the link to the website that shows the room layouts, and amenities in each room. On the third page is a map of the hotel layout so you can see where the buildings are.

You don't need the Ent card to book; you can call and book right now, just get the card before you go. When you book, call the hotel directly (714)776-6120 and ask for IN HOUSE reservations, and ask for the Entertainment rate. Call between 9-5 Pacific time weekdays. Do NOT let them shuttle you to the general reservations, 1-800 line; you can only get this deal through "in-house" reservations. The 1-800 people will not know what you're talking about. Ask for Lorealle; she is so friendly and helpful! Tell her you're from the DIS boards and she'll go all out to make sure you get what you need.
Hope that helps!
