Hi!

I am new here.
I have all but decided to stay at HOJO in mid July.

I keep hearing about the ET rate, but I am thinking of booking trhough Expedia or Orbitz.

Would I be better off trying to book seperately, and hoping July will come up for the ET rate?

When would you try to get everything booked in order to ensure this hotel for July?

Any tips would be very much appreciated.

If they dont have the ENT rate they still offer 15% I think for DISboard members, then if the ENT rate comes up you can call and change to the ENT rate.

If you book through a 3rd party site like Expedia or Travelocity I dont think you would be able to change to the ENT rate, unless they did some kind of match...

Would you really get a better deal than the 15% through one of those sites? If not call and book using the DISboard discount and go from there...

I would also book ASAP and by calling Hojos or booking online with the Disboard promo code. If down the road you found another deal you can cancel the original reservation up to 48hrs before the trip...

I too wondered this - do you know what deposit is needed to book in advance? Can't find the details on the website.

Also found it interesting to note that this particular HoJo doesn't offer a free breakfast like most others in SoCal - not a deal breaker but would be nice....

I just booked today! No deposit, they just put the credit card number on file to cover the cancellation fee if you don't show up...

I agree free breakfast would be nice, but at the cheap rates they offer, it probably wont ever happen. Most of the places that offer free breakfast in the vicinity of the park are going to charge you almost double the ENT rate... (There is a McDonalds on the walk to DL and the total cost still comes out less than the extra you pay for the hotels that offer it).

There are also some sitdown restaurants between DL and Hojo's. There is a Mimi's in the parking lot next to HOJO and I think you can join their e-mail club and get a coupon for a free breakfast with an equal value purchase (just make sure you do it close enough to your trip so the coupon doesn't expire).
