HoJo Queen Bunk room preference

Hi Folks,

We booked a room with queen bed and bunk bed at the Hojo for Memorial Day weekend. For those who have stayed in these rooms, do you recommend requesting Building 1 (facing the highway) or Building 2 (by the garden pool)? Are they laid out differently?

Any advice appreciated.

I always stay in building 2 (which is refurbished) facing the pool. My last trip I was right in front of the pool on the 1st floor so I could hear some music until 10pm when the pool closes. Turning on the air/heat in the room drowned all that out, plus there is Alexa you can play white noise on. The freeway noise is essentially white noise itself. Years ago we stayed in building 1 facing the freeway and it was never an issue. I haven't stayed in a bunk room, just a king and a 2 double.

We stayed in building 2 a number of years ago and it was nice and quiet. Building 1 will be closer to the entrance, though, making your walk a little shorter.
We stayed in a 2queen room on that trip.

Thanks DharmaLou, music would be more annoying than freeway noise for our family.

Shorter sounds better. Looking like Building 1 is the best option.
