I posted this on the Hojo board, but I know I will get a quicker reponse here...

How much is a wash load?
How much for a dry load? and are the dryer typical coin dryers that often take 2 rounds to dry or do they actually get the job done the first time?
And lastly, soap, how much for soap?

Thanks everyone!

(8 sleeps and counting!!!!)

If I remember right it was a $1 a load and you could add extra dry time for $.25. I am not positive on that. We brought our own soap but it was in the gift shop.

My stuff dried with one round. I throw everything together so was a pretty typical heavy load in my opinion.

I think it is $1 - $1.50 last year...can't remember for sure. The loads were dried in one round...no problems. It is so handy to have the facilities available.

We paid $1 for a small box of soap (Gain) in the gift shop.

Wash was $1.

Dryer was quarters and I put in 4 of them, so $1. I did take the clothes out of the dryer after 45 minutes (I still showed 15 minutes left on the dryer) and they were dry already.

That one load of clothes saved us! Socks, underwear, and a couple of favorite shirts.

I did one medium size load when we were there. IIRC it was $1 per load to wash and $1 to dry. I think you could add $.50 to the wash for heavily soiled items. I brought some soap from home...actually bought a very small bottle of All Small & Mighty which was enough for 2 loads. Bought it for about a $1 at Target in the aisle where all the travel size toiletries are. I also brought a few dryer sheets from home in a small ziplock baggie. I hate paying a dollar for two little dryer sheets, which is what I've had to do in the past. lol

I'm actually doing laundry at the HoJo right now, my loads are in the dryer. It was $1.25 for the wash, add an extra quarter for the super cycle. $1.00 for the dryer for 48 minutes and that looks like it will dry my loads. The gift shop sells soap for $1.00 a load.

The washers/dryers are fairly big so they can hold reasonably large loads. However there are only 3 of each in the multi story buildings, 6 washers and 7 dryers total for the entire hotel. So be prepared to wash at off-times or to wait for them to free up.
