Veronica is trying not to collapse because of her over exhaustion and she's completely spent.

Veronica: Veronica was beat tired, but she managed a smile. "I'm gonna need a minute's rest Jackson, I used a large amount of magic in an extremely small amount of time. But I'll get back to healing you soon, if you want." Veronica managed to sit on one of the beds next to Jackson and tried getting her breath back.

Jane : She was coming to the hospital wing, and a lady ran past her. She was hit with a stunning spell and flew into the it, her head hitting the wall. A huge gash was cut in the back of her head, and she passed out.

Jackson: "Why haven't you broken up with me then? I've been awful and from what I'm hearing there is no way to make it up to you. I did what I did to protect you. I don't ever want any bad thing to happen to you. I just wanted to try and protect my girlfriend."

It doesn't matter anymore now that it's broken" her tone had gotten sweeter, and sadder. "I'm sorry I'm mad, I've just been worried a lot. I can't believe this has been two days. How would you like it if you saw me after I fell down a bunch of stairs and died?" She said, smiling now a bit.

Lucas: Lucas was wandering the halls when he found a young Gryffindor girl on the floor, not moving. He got to her as quickly as he could as he could on crutches, and saw that she wasn't dead, merely passed out. It was risky, but he managed to stay upright and perform a simple hovering charm, and Luke made the girl hover in the air.
