Darius: He had the students practice on each other, but said the only spell that coklc be used wss stupefy, and if a person was on he grounf for morr than five seconds thd duel was over

Claire: She was pretty average at dueling, as was enjoying herself. She wondered if there was any other sports than qudditch. She guessed it was too late to join but wanted to use her athletic skills. Claire figured this year would be mostly morning jogs.

OOC: I can never be relevant with the people who actually matter in the thread, the students. The teachers have their stories, but in the end they are still just the teachers reacting to the students' and the world's drama.

OOC: I am hanging on to the edge of an idea.....help me connect the dots. So we need an idea that will have students come together that may or may nor hang out with each other normally, or on a larger degree bring the schools together but not in a cutthroat way like the Triwizard Tournament....though it would involve partners or groups picked by the teachers, no trades allowed.....that way more students would meet, become friends, even a few relationships might come out of it.......we do have the exchange students....perhaps a competition or contest could be involved but not one you could die from.....

OOC: Hmmm, maybe we put them on an island or forest and they have to work together to get out and it takes a few days. Or maybe we do something along the lines of the show Amazing Race or Survior.

OOC: We have the quidditch games... I'm not sure. Maybe they could be assigned into groups in the halls to stay safer and be assigned different places at different times to study or play games.

The Adoption Theory: So for some reason, a lot of students get orphaned. The others, on order from the minister, have to adopt one of the others or can just take in the person they're dating if they qualify
