Phyllis: "If you don't do as I say, I'll erase your boyfriend's memory. He won't even know who you are. My sister is waiting for me to give the signal, now I give you a simple choice."

Bass: Bass was tied up. He knew that he could lose his memory of Jane at any moment.

Jane: She sat down. Monologue? Who does that?

Phyllis: Phyllis put Jane in a body bind. She said, "I can't have you walking away in the middle of my speech. Do you know what you took from me? You took away a father figure who loved me with all his heart. You took away a mentor who helped me in every one of my darkest hours. You took away my little sister's father, my deceased mother's husband, my father, my cousins' uncle, my uncle's brother, my aunt's brother-in-law, my grandparents' son, and on and on and on. Point? If you mess with one Minor, all of us are going to come after you. You can't prevent what happens to you, only your dopey little boyfriend can do that. Not even Ivan himself can protect you, or anyone else who loves you. You won't have a soul to lean on. You won't have a friend in the world. You don't know what it's like to have every single day of your life snatched away from you because some nobody with a wand killed your father. It's my life.
All I ever wanted was to be accepted into the world. I guess that makes us not so different. But that is what gave me my ambition. My talent for magic has been pretty good, considering i had a death eater for a master. My father was one of the best fathers out there, even death eaters can have miraculous parents. My sister can never be as good as I am of course, but that is beside the point. I had a brilliant speech planned out, yet you have me monolouging about my backstory. I wanted to be loved. I deserve my happy ending. That's why I have so much fire in my soul. I have a longing to be free. I WANT HAPPINESS!
Is that so much to ask? Is it too much to ask that I have a life of my own? Is it too much to ask that I'm not a stranger in my own house? I am only doing this to tell you that you are ruining my life and the life that I had planned for myself. You took away my father and that lead to my mother dying. You did that, little missy. I can't ever hug my father and tell him that I love him again. You took him away from me. I can't do that because you took him away from me. You ripped away my sister's love for Daddy too, so you'll pay. You'll pay throughout all of your suffering, even in the best of everyday life, all of it. You can never forgive yourself for what you've done, because my father is the one I truly love, but he's dead!"
