Nagini: "You didn't know?" she laughed. "The rumors are all true! didn't you see Gabrielle attack her in her wolfy form? Both of them were bit!" she cackled. "You daft girl. And you want to be a death eater."

Dot: stunned, she tried to respond but choked on her words. She couldnt believe this had all happened while she was gone in the forest searching for a unicorn...

Nagini: she was still laughing, but calmed herself down a bit. "Tell me why I should make you a death eater." she pulled up her sleeve. "You want one of these?" she cackled again. "You daft girl."

Dot: she gasped at the sight of the mysterious Dark Mark branded onto Nagini's forearm. "Yes," Dot replied. "I do."

Dot: she winced at the unfriendly, irritating nickname she had often been called by in her earlier years. "I thought if i...traded you this unicorn blood....you'd help me become.." her voice faltered. In barely more than a whisper she said, "A death eater." She realized how stupid this plan was. She hadnt actually expected to find Nagini in the forest, right next to a unicorn full of silvery blood she could take instead of Dot's measly beaker. She had expected to run into Nagini somewhere else, where she could present the unicorn blood like a rare, exotic species, like it was the last of the unicorn blood left in the forest. Nagini would fall all over herself, accepting Dot's offer, eager to help in exchange for such a valuable gift. But that was the exact opposite of what had really happened.

Jane: She noticed the vial around Nagini's neck, and she felt like she had been pushed into icy water. She knelt by the centaur, and looked at his face.

Nagini: "okie doke." she picked up her boyfriend and carried him into the slythein common room. She sat next to him on his bed and waited for him to wake up.

Dot: she silently left the forest, following behind Nagini on the way back to Hogwarts. She went straight to the Ravenclaw common room, skipping dinner. When she sat down, she noticed Zi was sitting in an armchair with a thick book in her lap.

Dot: "Hey Zi. How was your," she searched for the right word, "DATE with Jackson?" She grinned.

Zi: unsmiling, she said, "first of all, it wasn't really a date. Plus, Jackson is dating Gabrielle. Anyway, it was just a...friends thing." Zi's face fell.

Dot: "i'm sorry Zi. I didn't mean it like that," she said sheepishly, feeling bad.

Zi: her face hardened, her expression cold. "Besides... He never got to show me the secret room. I had to cut our time short. I needed to find you so you could help me find Quincy. He could have DIED in the forest and we just left him there, risking EXPULSION! But really, that's the least of my worries."

Dot: "why? What happened? And why didn't you come get me?" Dot realized too late why Zi wasn't able to find her.

Zi: "oh, i don't know. Some people are busy with other things, like, oh killing unicorns and BECOMING DEATH EATERS!" Zi exploded, erupting in accusations against Dot. "Who do you think you ARE?! You will NEVER be a true Death Eater! Death Eaters are EVIL! But i guess that's just what you are." Zi stormed into her dormitory, throwing her hardcover book at Dot, who caught it easily.
