Hogwarts RP 9

OOC: This doesn't really need to go on the front page, but it sort of clears some things up. And Brandon, let me know if you aren't okay wih anything to do with Freya. For your enjoyment, I bring you the story of Iris Black:

Iris Magnolia Black was the third child born to Agatha and Alfred Black in the late August of 1963. She was tall with blue/black eyes and long, slick black hair. As a child she was nicknamed Iris, mostly by her older brother Callum, who was about two years older than her. Her older sister, Freya, was eleven years older than her; they did not appear to be close.
Iris grew up with relatively good parents, her father having been in Slytherin and her mother a very Gryffindorish Ravenclaw. These hereditary traits caused her brother to be sorted into Gryffindor the year after Sirius Black broke the Slytherin streak. Iris, although close to her brother, was ashamed and turned away from him. She was later sorted into Slytherin, where she fit well and was feared by those of all other houses for the exception of her brother.
By this time Freya had long left the house and joined Voldemort, though they didn't know just yet. Callum, named after the Caelum constellation, loved and tried to take care of his sister, but she hated him for his house and wouldn't allow it. In Isis's first year she came across a girl with light brown hair and hazel eyes, a girl who was kind looking and wearing Gryffindor robes. Being tall for her age, Iris approached the girl and asked her her name; muggle-born Jayne Williams answered honestly and bravely. But Iris did not like muggle-borns and gave her a look that unsettled Jayne. No one spoke for a short period until Callum, seeing his sister's look and the girl, said, "Iris, leave," with authority. She left, but gave her brother a meaningful look.
Callum then got to know the younger girl-about a year apart from him-and from that day on the two were the best of friends. Iris watched as their story played out much like that of a planned love story: the best friends fell in love. They were married. But Iris and Jayne never met again after that day, and Iris's hatred of the girl never left, although she wasn't jealous or envious of the fact that she had her brother. Iris finished school and went on to join her sister in Voldemort's army.
During this time Jayne became pregnant. Callum told his parents, who were thrilled, but his father made the mistake of telling his other child living at home. Iris had never found out Jayne was the wife. Melanie was born a few months before Iris graduated, and so she contacted the only one she knew of who could help her: Freya. Freya sent a threatening letter to Callum just after the child was born, and he decided it wasn't safe for his little family to remain close to him. Callum left after and little Mel never saw her parents together again.
The years went by and Jayne became a full-time substitute teacher for muggle primary schools. Melanie came with her to class often, and read books behind the teachers desk while her mother taught. Melanie was much like her mother: soft, kind, and compassionate, although her traits seemed stronger.
Meanwhile, Iris was destroying muggle families, killing their children and torturing their parents with the crutiatus curse. She hadn't found her brother or his family, but one day, after seven years of searching, Freya approached her with a piece of valuable information, and the whereabouts of Jayne were revealed. The plan then went as followed: Freya gave hair for poly juice potion, which Iris took, just in case her plan failed and she had to try again. It took time to get through the protections, but she finally entered the Black house, appearing as Freya. Jayne heard the crash and Isis listened as the little girl questioned her mother, who told her something urgently and went forward to meet the witch. At first, she appeared as Freya, but the time it took to break through the protections had used up her hour. Iris's identity was revealed, and Jayne's eyes widened as she realized it was the same girl she had come face-to-face with many years ago. She merely whispered something to her, "He loves you, Iris," and then Iris tortured her to death.
Then was time for the child. She appeared behind her and startled her, then casted the torture curse once again. The girl screamed in pain, but a sudden protection came up that couldn't be broken, so she left. Because the letter was written by Freya, Callum always assumed she was the murderer and thus went on to tell Melanie, who never knew Iris existed until later. Iris met up with Melanie two more times as an adult, but was never able to kill her.

OOC: ok.
And for some reason Frozen doesn't appeal to me much, but it could just be the commercials. My little siblings are going to see it today so I guess I can ask them.

OOC: I think it's going to be one of those movies where it actually is good but the ads for it suck.

OOC: That's what I heard from reviewers.

Claire: She lifted off. The golden airplane was hovering inside a crack in the stand that was unreachable, so now was time to work on dodging. With Claire probably spending not enough time in school and more on qudditch plus her natural talent she dodged the slivers easily.

Alexei: Keeping an eye on Claire for safety reasons, he swooped over and below and around, attempting to throw her off.

Phyllis: Suddenly, she didn't feel as sick as she did before. She snuck out of Georgie's office without anyone noticing.

Callum then got to know the younger girl-about a year apart from him-and from that day on the two were the best of friends. Isis watched as their story played out much like that of a planned love story: the best friends fell in love. But one day something appeared to be different about her brother, and she soon realized that Jayne, although soft, had become upset with him due to a lie told by some Ravenclaws. This was just after they graduated. Jayne left and was aided by a soon-to-be professor, Mikial Linus, who she had a short affair with. Although she didn't know it, Linus was involved with Voldemort and so his life got in the way. The lie was proved false and she returned to Callum. They were married. But Isis and Jayne never met again after that day, and Isis's hatred of the girl never left, although she wasn't jealous or envious of the fact that she had her brother. Isis finished school and went on to join her sister in Voldemort's army.

Melanie was much like her mother: soft, kind, and compassionate, although her traits seemed stronger. She kept in touch with Linus throughout these years, and it was never decided whether Melanie was his or Callum's child until a DNA test was taken the summer before Jayne was murdered. Callum knew Jayne had been good friends with Linus, so he was named godfather to the little girl, though Callum never found out about his wife's affair.

OOC: That was really good. I like it.

And, Frozen is definitely worth seeing. The ads were awful, but the movie was spectacular. The music, imagery, oh and even plot twists. I was impressed.

JP: "Wow." Claire was very impressive. He shouted, "Woo. Go Claire!!!"

OOC: Have a good time!

Kelsey Brown: "I was informed by my fiance Darius and Melanie that you once threatened my godson, who was also the son of my best friend, Lucas. Forgive me if I am cautious concerning mine and Luke's safety."

Linus: "I was confused back then. Besides, I won't be able to teach everyday. You can trust me enough."

Nagini: she stood and ran away from the girl she thought was her mother.

Gabrielle: she sat outside under a tree and read a book.

Georgie: she had fainted in the doorway of Morgan's office after seeing Linus alive.

Lannie: she was released from the infirmary. She had to find out who did this to her.

OOC: thanks. And I'll probably see it when it comes out on DVD.

Just got out of Catching Fire, which made me cry. I never cry during movies.

OOC: Whew, writing backstories for your charries is difficult. Doodle, I PM'd you what I had written. If you want me to change something, please let me know because I've never written a backstory before.

OOC: Edited once again. They look good, Nessie.

OOC: It is, but it really helps you get into the characters.
