Was there last night here are some tips. The shows start at 6 pm and then every 20 minutes. During this time traffic flow becomes one way only from the train to the castle. The right side is roped off for viewing the show the left side for thru traffic. People were lined up and standing everywhere for the first show it was mobbed and chaotic. We were there just trying to get to Hagrids. My advice is go later by the 6:40 show it had cleared out a bit and we walked right up just 3 minutes before.

We saw it a few years ago and it was a one and done. Nothing bad, but not impressive to make it a must di either.

Yes, we noticed this as well for non-holiday projections. Sometimes they completely fill the first show or 2 and hold anyone else further back in Hogsmeade. But the later shows have much more space. No jockeying for position even coming up last minute. Much more enjoyable.

I really like the music for the Christma sshow. Might try to go later since I really don't like to be packed like a sardine.

And if you can go on a night the park is open until at least 8pm. When it’s only open til 7 it’s madness for that hour. I was surprised how crowded it was we saw the dark arts show end of September and it was nowhere near this crowded. I think it’s the open international travel.
