Can someone advise on how to best ride the Hogwarts Express?

We'll be staying at Royal Pacific and will take advantage of EE. We'll also have park to park tickets. I read a rumor a while back that you would book a ticket to ride HE. Is that accurate?

Also, if doing EE, should we ride Gringotts first and then HE? Basically, what should my order of priority be in planning our day?

TIA!

Won't be there myself for another 2 weeks but from everything I've read the hogwarts express has small lines and shorter wait times than expected by most people. If getting in as soon as it opens for early entry I would head straight for Gringotts then check out the alley before taking the train over to IOA.

Definitely do EE and go straight to Gringotts. We were there the first week of August and there were no lines for HE in the mornings. Always less than a 10 minute wait. Later in the afternoon, it did get crowded and the waits were up to an hour but it died back down in the evenings.

Yes, do Gringotts during early admission. You can do Hogwart's Express anytime without much wait.

Actually, do Gringotts around 4 in the afternoon. We only waited about an hour. Hogwarts express never had a wait longer than 15 minutes, and the older Harry Potter rides never had too much of a wait. We are here now, so this is recent info.

Thank you for this tip! :)

How long did you wait during early admission?

I rode around noon amd it was 10 min, which is walk on. At 6 pm tonight it was at 40 minutes for some reason.

Ride early before it get too hot. The cars are air conditioned but the seat cushions are fabric and absorb OPS (other peoples sweat). The cars also gets an nice OPS smell wafting through the air.

I love the ride but they need to address this issue.

Ewwww........not a nice thought.

I do not even know what to say to this! OPS? That is sooooo gross- it makes me want to bring a towel to sit on!

Lol. I'm just not going to think about it. Maybe people won't be too sweaty when we're there in October.

Also an issue in the Amex lounge. The vinyl covered chairs have decorative buttons on them. They are rusty. I don't think they are getting wet from the abundance of water rides at USO.

Friday at the height of crowds with Gringotts broken, each side was only about 20 min so focus on the escape. Ewwwww on the OPS. I didn't even think of that.
