I agree with you on that one.. My brother and sis in law live in Jersey, they LOVE the Devils and had semi season tickets..like 17 games or something.. Anyway my brother and I were talking, I'm a HUGE penguins fan, yea, yea I KNOW!!!! and he was saying the same thing..without their lead capt. it's just not the same.. tonight should make a very interesting games.. My brother will be calling me everytime the devil's score tonight...

Truthfully I'm not sure how well the Devils will be without Scott and some other good players we lost with that darn salary cap. Hopefully Marty and Elias can step it up and provide some inspiration.

Yeah Columbus shouldn't be lumped with the others. Hockey is pretty popular (esp. college) in parts of Ohio.

Well I have my score ticker running on my desktop at work LOL we aren't supposed to run anything on our work machines but they let us have them for opening night and all the plasmas in the office will be showing the games on sattelite they purchased the centre ice package for us. The Devils will be hurting with teh loss of the Scott's on the blueline both Stevens and neidermeyer were a big part of the Devils success for years it will be hard to replace them. Just as it will in St Louis to replace Pronger and big AL on the blue line.

How did I know the Leafs would lose the first ever shootout in the NHL. I am such a sucker for punishment. The are the Leafs though and I will love them win or lose. I don't have to be happy about it though! Anyone else see this? Didn't Belfour look very un-Eddie like in that shootout?

He looked like a pee wee goalie on the goal by Alfredson on the first shot. and if Havlat hadn't of hit him in the stick the second shot was in. I loved every minute of that game until the shootout it has no place in MY NHL. To be honest the way both teams played it should have ended after overtime with a tie the shootout sucks and I am not even a Leaf fan LOL.

I am sure you wouldn't mind sharing him if he was American and played for the States during the Olympics LOL. Hey we all know the best hockey playes in the wold come from Canada there is no denying that.

I agree that was a terrible display by the fans you don't see that to often and they should be appauled by it. I almost felt like I was watching a pistons game LOL.
