HOB gift certificate question..

Ok, I got this gift certificate recently (thank you, you know who you are!) for HOB, it is from restaraunts.com, and well I am trying to figure out if the alcohol portion is covered by the discount also.. Does anybody know? Has anybody gotten one and then used it? It’s the $25 dollars off $35….

No, it doesn't include alcohol, tax, or tip.

Yep, that's how it works food only (and non alcoholic bevs.) You might also check the cert to see if there are any other restrictions. Some of the ones from restaurant.com have rules like dinner only, or not on weekends. We have used them several times.

Ok but some places DO let you use it for alcohol you have to ask each individual restaurant what the restrictions are. I know I have had a glass of wine and used a restaurant.com coupon. Not at HOB of course but somewhere else.

When DBF and I use one (for just the 2 of us, when we all 4 of us it's never an issue to hit the $35 minimum) we get an appetizer, 2 entrees and a dessert, never fails to hit the $35 mark for us.

Just a heads up. The HOB certs that we bought from restaurants.com stipulated that 18% tip would automatically be added. Also, we could not use it for the Sunday special brunch they have.
