hubby wants france, i was thinking teppen edo would be more entertaining for our kids (4,6,8 year olds). but maybe france would have more kid friendly food than teppen edo? my kids are not picky eaters- they eat alot of different things...

so............which one is the better choice? which one has better food period?

thanks!

We loved Chefs in April, and since we have many Hibachi restaurants locally that include soup, salad, shrimp appie and fried rice for a much cheaper price I would pick Chefs

We are going to Chefs. We have a Hibachi places where we live, they are fun, but nothing new to us. I heard Chefs has great food.

The food we had was very good at Chef's . I have been to several hibachi type restaurants, and just don't feel they are anything special.

We went to chefs for lunch in Feb and it was OK, althought I've heard from other reviews that the kid selections aren't typical kid food?? like the mac and cheese was made with french cheese...But we did see kids making chef's hats out of their menus. That being said we did Tepan Edo for dinner and loved it. We have been to many hibachi places but this one was relaly fun because we got a great chef. I think the chef really makes the meal. As far as the kid selections the kids at our table got cute teriyaki chicken "monorails" (the serving dish was a monorail toy!) and they could order hibachi style too if they preferred. It was really cute and looked like a lot of fun. The kids got their food to eat while we watched the chef. IMHO I would go for Japan!:thumbsup2

We all loved Chefs when we went a few weeks ago. Our lunch was fabulous.

My son had an adult meal croque monsieur which is really a fancy grilled ham and cheese. He's the pickiest kid in the world and has decided that's his favorite place. My daughter's kids' meal was baked chicken tenders (not the standard Disney ones) and buttered noodles with sauce on the side. She loved her food as well.

I haven't tried Teppan Edo because as others have said, there are lots of Japanese places in my area too, but Chefs is really nice. The service was great as well.

We've been to both. And you can't go wrong with either one. I would think Teppen edo would be pretty entertaining with 4, 6 & 8 yr. olds. We have Benihana's here and the family still wants to dine at "old name Teppanyaki/new name Teppen edo" every time we we are at WDW. :)

I wish I could try Chefs...but DH loves japan and we have yet to try it so I am stuck with the Hibachi meal. I hope I like it. Does Teppan Edo food compare to your local Haibachi or is it better?

I have ressies for tepan edo next week. One thing that looks discouraging about the menu is that they serve udon noodles and not fried rice. I love me some habachi grill fried rice with the white sauce all over it. I will probably still go because they offer scallops and they offer filet so I think I will enjoy myself but darn no fried rice.

I have not been to either place in years. I took Tepan because well it was available and I am going during free dinning time but not with free dinning. I guess it works out the same since I got a super cheap rate.
