Hitting Parks Before Checking In

Looking for advice on how to handle being at the park at rope drop on the day we're scheduled to check in. Our stay at AS Movies is from Saturday - Saturday. Found a great price on a non-stop flight that gets us in Friday evening. Rather than try to book another day at ASMo, I grabbed a deal from Hotwire for that Friday night.

Do I need to go to ASMo early Saturday morning to check in & get our MYW tickets so we can be at the park for rope drop?

You can go to rope drop, but won't be able to enter the park unless you have tickets.

You can also check in at the resort after 6:30 am, but don't expect a room to be ready. Get your KTTK and hit the park.

If you already have your tickets then you can go to the parks but if you tickets are in a package then you will have to check-in to activate your tickets.

I couldn't help but smile because this is my situation almost exactly. We are going to be able to go down a day early, used priceline and got a hotel at DD and are staying at Movies. I had to check to make sure I didn't ask this question. Yes, you will need to go to Movies first and register and get your KTTK first.

Actually, I was told that I could go to guest services and request "Early Ticket Pick-up" and my tickets up to 2-3 days in advance.

The only drawback is that you end up with tickets that are separate from your room key.

Is your first day to the park an Extra Magic Hour morning rope drop? Or regular opening? If it is Magic Hour you will need your KTTW card to get in.

A day (or 2 or 3) before check in (Fri nite) you can go to a park and do Early Ticket Picktup. Day of (Sat) you must go to your resort (All Star Movies) to get your tickets.
