Hit Me With Some Csr Info.!

Recently back fro CSR (5/31 to 6/10) and I agree with much of what has been written.

As far as early AM coffee, there is a small window next to Pepper Market that opens at 6 AM for coffee, tea, cappuccino and pastries. Can also fill mugs there. Of course, didnt find this out until day three, and then I was there every AM between 6 and 6:20. Also very nice time to walk around the grounds, very tranquil and quiet!

I stayed in Cabana 9B in a corner room (extra window)... very nicely located to everything!! :thumbsup2

Buses were awesome...stayed at Dixie Landings last time, and hated sharing the buses with Port Orleans...nice change not having to be sandwiched in every time I rode the bus.

Not a big fan of Pepper Market, and not because of the set up....had no problem with that, just not crazy about the quality of the food most of the time. Best meals came out of the meat/grill station. Pastries and desserts were yummy. Thought salad station, mexican station and asian station food quality was mediocre. Could use a few more choices in the kids section. One of my daughters really missed not having a mac n chz choice at every meal :rotfl:

Loved the pools, quiet and at Dig Site...loved the slide. Construction at the inside lounge hardly noticeable, added some tables and landscaping right outside the doors to Pepper Market for the new outdoor lounge, which was very popular.

I would like to compliment the Chefs at Pepper Market, and all over the Disney Resorts, for the care they took with my daughter, who has several severe food allergies. The Pepper Market chefs even went to the trouble of making pizza dough on clean machines for her, before they made other pastries to avoid cross contamination. Each and every Chef/CM we came across worked to make sure there was something she could eat, and took ourconcers seriously. Because of this, we will definitely be back to Disney in the next few years. :goodvibes

CBR was my fave resort till I stayed at CSR.

I found the busses great at CSR, usually always got a seat.

I stayed at the Cabanas and loved grabbing a nice adult beverage and grabbing a hammock at the end of the day. Relaxed and gazed at the stars or over the lake.

Loved the pool, though I mainly went to the main pool as I loved the pyramid.

I love all the sections, though I have only stayed in the Cabana sections. I would not mind at all staying in the Rancho or Casita section.

I did not like the food court the first time I went where they do things a little differently but did like it the 2nd time.

I love the CSR and can't wait to stay there again. It is now my fave resort. Well, that I have stayed at. I so want to stay at AKL someday and I have a feeling that it will be my fave when I do.

Our experience from a stay last August at CSR:

--Buses: Very efficient, although they were inconsistent on where they dropped off first. We stayed in Cabanas 9b, which was closest to Bus Stop 1. Coming back to the resort, sometimes they dropped off at Bus Stop 1 first, sometimes last. If you were last, you had to ride an extra 5 minutes or so to get dropped off, so no biggee in the overall scheme of things.

--Location: We were in 9505, which was Cabanas 9b with a water view. It was about as close as you can get to El Centro, a 2-minute walk across a beautiful bridge to the Dig Site pool and a very short walk down the sidewalk to the quiet pool/laundry. We loved it and will definitely request 9b on our next CSR stay.

--Food court: We found it was easy in the morning to walk in, grab a pastry and coffee and check out to take it back to our room. We'd be there at 7 and there were never more than 2-3 other people besides us waiting for the gate to open. That's how we used most of our snack credits that week. For lunch and dinner you had to be seated but we never had to wait too long. After that you go to the stations, get your food and settle up after eating. We found it to be very simple and not much waiting at all.

--Quiet pools: Very, very quiet. ;) We didn't use them as often as we would've liked, but 1 afternoon DW and I hung out there while we did laundry and it was very nice.

we stayed at CSR in 2003 and really loved it then. the location is great, the buses were phenominal, we loved the pepper market and actually thought it was easier to do it that way rather than having to stand in line with your food to pay while your food was getting cold. the bar/lounge was very nice, CMs were friendly and couldn't do enough for ya. the rooms were really nice, (we stayed in the casitas) beds were comfy, grounds were beautiful and well maintained and the gift shop has just about any souvenir someone could want. we're staying again in december this year and are really looking forward to it. last time we didn't get to use the gym but this year my fiancee is really looking forward to having that to use and having it free to guests at CSR is an added bonus. this time we have again requested to stay in the casitas and are hoping to get our request!! it's not too long of a walk to the Pepper Market and close to the gym. It'll be December so i don't know if we'll even get a chance to use the pool so that's not a high priority for us, but we will definitely take the walk to check it out again and if it is too cold then, there's always the hot tub! the long walks/size of the resort isn't an issue to us as we're at Disney World and going there you have to expect to be walking a lot - it's part of what Disney is, lots of walking, so we can't complain about that!! If we wanted a relaxing, not a lot of walking vacation we'd go to a tropical island!! :flower3:
