History of DINGS Fares for Orlando

Hi all!
Question. We are planning an Oct (Columbus Day wknd) trip. When does Southwest post ding fares usually for that time of year? Also, are there usually dings from Baltimore? Or Philly I guess we could do too?

skipamyb, there are usually dings from either BWI or Dulles eventually. In my experience I always get tired of waiting and book a regular flight first and then the ding comes out later and I end up with a credit. Which isn't too bad because it leaves us reason to take another trip. One word of advice, when you do book follow the cardinal rule of SW booking, which I just broke and I am so frustrated with myself..

Always book your travel on SW one way!

That way if you get a ding for one leg of your trip you don't have to cancel the whole thing. I bought the $29 ding and figured there would be no reason why I would need to change anything with that great fare so I booked round trip. Now we want to change on leg and if we do we'll lose the $29 fare for the other way. Just wanted to vent my frustration, sorry for the long winded post.

Has anyone else experienced problems installing DING?

I'm on Windows XP and it seems to install okay but when I select my airports and click on "Register", it keeps saying "cannot connect to Southwest".

For now, I've uninstalled it and will try reinstalling it if anyone has any ideas what the problem might be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I do know with multiple users only one person will be able to get ding. It is under my husbands account here at home so I can't get the digs. If I hear it I go to my laptop to see it.


Call there Tech support, they are pretty good.

I've had trouble installing the Ding! So I will just subscribe to this thread. I am looking for Salt Lake City to Orlando (of course) for May and September.

I have trouble with the DING also. If I read about a good fare on the DIS, how can I then get it??? Don't I have to have the DING address?

If I can remember, that is a big if, I will pm you when it dings for either way. It is route also.

Do you live in SCL? I have to move there in August for school and am quite afraid of the idea.
