His Name is JUDE!

I drove down to meet two older standard poodles today. When I went to the door, Jude came to meet me. He is an 8 year old white standard male poodle. He was extremely friendly and was very happy to have me talk and pet him. We seemed to hit it off right away. The female then came out. She went right to her owner and then, only after about 10 minutes came to greet me. I felt she might have a harder time adjusting to a new environment. I liked Jude so much I decided to take him home. He is wonderful. Very obedient, heels off lead and comes when he is called. He is very laid back and mellow. I have an invisable fence in our yard but I don't think I am going to need it as long as I am outside with him. He has a stuffed red lobster he carries with him but not all of the time. He is Annie's nephew. He reminds me of her. He is lying down now. Annie always went to bed at 9:30 pm. He has her snout and her elegant posture. He won his American and Canadian Championship in conformation and has retired from the ring. I think this is going to be a great match. He seems to have bonded with me. He also seems to prefer women to men which is fine with me. DSIL and DN came to visit and he was very friendly but when I got up to walk out of the room he followed me. I think he knows that this might be a good match.

Awesome story!!! I love dog stories. I've adopted some of my favorite dogs. They do know when it's right. My current Shepherd, Buddy has always known that we rescued her and has responded with love and devotion.

You are so right. He is white, she was black BUT, They have the same thin long snout and perfect almond eyes. There are subtle things as well.
