I know this has been asked before...but where have you purchased your hip packs?? (including online) I really HATE them, but I think it's the best way to go for our June trip...too hot for backpacks!! I need one that I can carry my cell phone, money and tickets and a small thing of sunscreen...so not too big. Any suggestions??
Oh...also looking for a small one for my daughter (to fit her pressed penny book and autograph book).

I bought a messenger bag off ebay for $21 (shipping included in total) and I love it! (I havent used it in Disney yet though)--Ive used it mainly as a diaper bag/purse and it is cute, lightweight and plenty of room and i read it can be used as a fanny pack too!!

I bought mine at Target for $11ish. I like it because it has three zipper pockets. One along the back (great for cash & receipts), one for the big compartment (camera, poncho), and one on the front (perfect size for room key & park ticket)

I broke down and got one from walmart yesterday for a little less than $5. I really dont like the way it looks and I will leave the tags on it until I use it so that I can return it. It's navy blue and has a water bottle holder and three little compartments. It could hold my camera, a really small poncho, my wallet and some sunscreen. It might hold my hat too if I squished it.

Yeah I saw that one at Walmart too...plus another HUGE one that I could fit a small dog in! I just want something small, efficient and comfortable to wear. Ok...so I want something fashionable ;)

I have found that I do not like a fanny/hip pack. Don't like it on certain rides..

I did see a little while ago (and wish I would have bought since have not seen one since) a smallish "kidney shaped" bag that goes over and behind your shoulder with the kidney shaped bag on your side. Not sure if makes sense or not..probably why I cannot find one now that I want to buy one.

The best thing I found for my kids was on ebags. It's called a 'Smiley' and it will fit kids PERFECTLY. I have a 6 year old and a 12 year old and it works for both of them (I got 2). I had purchased a 'regular' one for my 12 yr old and it wouldn't fit him - I was surprised. But the 'smiley' from ebags is extremely adjustable! :flower:

I bought a "PUP Utility Pouch" from QVC, used it in May and really enjoyed it. It will fit across your shoulder or around your waist. It is small enough to not get in the way but big enough to hold my small camera, small sunscreen, tickets, coin purse and three disposable ponchos. I have never liked the term fanny pack but would not go to Disney again without my "utility pouch".

I bought one last year at Eddie Bauer for a trip to Mexico. It was big enough for my small digital camera, money/credit cards and some sunscreen. It was comfortable and really liked that I had my hands/arms completely free....even if it isn't the most stylish accessory! I found mine yesterday and it is ready to go!

Hello Everyone! :wave2:
This is my first post here. My wife and I have been AP holders for 3+ years. I've had an AP for about 10 years. We live close and are pretty much certified "disney freaks".

I would highly discourage hip packs. seriously.

what we usually do is wear cargo shorts. they are very comfortable and relatively inexpesive (old navy, target, etc...). In one pair of cargo shorts (when my wife doesn't wear them) i can cary: a small sunblock, lip balm, a hat for me (i'm bald, its a MUST), camera (kodak digital), autograph book, rolaids, feminine hygeine products (if needed) and my wallet/id and still be WAY more confortable then using a fanny pack. Plus, we can use the "no bags" line. if you're wearing a fanny pack, you've got to go through that line regardless of how big it is.

also, and this is just my opinion, fanny packs just look kinda nerdy. :rolleyes1

I found if you use your search engine on your home page and type in lumbar pack that you get alot of hits. Happy hunting. LLBean also has a good selection.

I got mine at the MouseGear store in EPCOT last time we were down in DIsney. It has Mickey Mouse on it. They had other characters also. Cant remember the price, but it is very roomy. Has a few different compartments. I am not a big fan of them for everyday use, but for Disney it seems perfect. I have everything at my reach and I dont have to hold it in my hands or on a strap over my shoulder. :flower:
