We stayed here last September and we had a family room which was very roomy and clean.
Nice big comfortable beds and a well supplied bathroom, no need to take shampoos etc.
the furnishings were nice and you won't here any aircraft noise.
The lobby is very welcoming and really quite posh!
We did not eat in the restaurant and we noticed from the price list in our room that you needed a second mortgage to eat at the hotel.
Lots of pilots stay here so I spent a lot of time drooling, oh for a man in uniform!!!
The Hilton is just so handy for the south terminal and is really only minutes away from check-in all under cover, you don't go outside at all.
We travelled up by train, got out at south terminal, checked in with Virgin's twighlight check-in service and then walked straight to the hotel to relax, great especially when you have 2 small kids as I do.
We didn't use any of the facilities like the gym or pool so I can't really help you on that score.
We went back to the airport for dinner in Garfunkels as it was much more like our budget.
On returning to the hotel, I stopped of at the Body Shop for some bath bubbles and had a very relaxing evening in a wonderful hot bubbly bath while Paul and the boys watched telly, but beware of the Playstation games, they were a fiver a time for 1 hour!!!
The only thing I did not like about our room was that we seemed to be so high up and looking out of the window was a sheer drop and I did panick a bit when it crossed my mind how we would get out in an emergencey if we could not use the door!!!!!!!.
My, how mind plays tricks on me!!
hope i have been of some help
