Has anyone stayed at the Hilton WDW?! I've been to the Benihana but not the hotel. Details, details... I need details.:surfweb:

My family (me, husband and two teenagers) stayed there one night this last July before getting into our timeshare the next day. We are Hilton Honors members and got upgraded to the concierge floor, enjoyed afternoon treats and also a nice breakfast. The rooms are small but very nice, the bathroom tub/shower was slightly outdated but clean. We especially liked having a bathroom sink AND a second sink outside the bathroom. Didn't use the pool so I can't speak to that but the gift shop was nice, the market looked good and the staff was great. We checked in mid-afternoon, went to the Magic Kingdom and took advantage of the evening extra magic hours and stayed until after 2AM. That worked out great - less crowds and heat. We wished we could have stayed another day, felt like we were hardly there!

I am going to be there in late April of 2009. I am staying for free using Corey's points. I have tickets already saved from our recent trip too. I just have to pay for gas, food, parking, tips, and stuff. I can't wait!

We just got back - the hotel was very nice, clean and attractive rooms and nice ameneties. The beds were comfy with nice linens and pillows (4 per bed). Coffee in the room and complimentary coffee in the lobby. It was a short walk to DTD which was really convenient. DH told them we were celebrating an anniverary and they sent us tuxedo strawberries, bottled water, and a nice card.

Nothing bad to say about it - other than no free internet and you have to pay to park. Still, it was a fantastic deal. I'd happily stay there again.

I spent five nights there last week on a $99 a night rate, and ended up in a rather large room (one of the corners that connects to to one of the big suites at the end) that was very nice, except for the not-so-great view out the window. They also have a nice pool area with two big pools and a big fitness room. The only real problem I had was that the dining and room service prices there were horrendously expensive (in some cases even more than eating in the parks,) so I didn't bother eating any meals at the hotel. The bus service to the parks is also a bit slow to get there sometimes, since it has to make a lot of stops along the way, and they drop off in the charter bus parking lots at Epcot, DHS, AK and the TTC, so it can take some walking to get to the park gates (not so fun when you've already been walking all day.) Oh yeah, and you also "get" to watch Stacy while you're riding the bus. On the plus side, it's right across the street from DTD Marketplace and the Disney bus stop there, although you'd need to transfer to another bus at a resort to get to the parks..

All in all, it's not a bad place, but I think I'd like to stay a bit closer to the parks on the next trip.

We also stayed for a night in March before moving to our time share and we really loved it. We especially loved the pool because they showed a movie at night and we had a great time. The hotel was immaculate.

We stayed there in 2007, for 3 nights. We did a split stay between DTD Hilton and CSR. We loved the DTD Hilton! It was clean attractive. The room felt like a deluxe room at WDW. The bed was very comfortable, and I liked the bedding. The pool was nice - I think I remember more than one pool. The walk to DTD was short, and the transportation was at least as good as Disney. I'm pretty sure we could do EMH at the parks, which is a real bonus! Our view was ok, nothing special. And I missed having a balcony. Other than that, it was wonderful.
When we arrived at CSR, the moderate room was kind of a let down. It was fine, but much more basic than the Hilton.

Ok, now our plans have changed and I need all of the info that I can get on the restaurants and stuff. Originally, I was going to stay here solo in April, but now, we are staying here together in October. Our stay in October will be for our 10th Anniversary and Corey's birthday.

I can see us spending quite a lot of time at the hotel, so the more info the better. TIA!
