Planning on a five night trip in June over Father's Day. DH's company will pay for the first two (possibly 3) nights at the Hilton BC while he works in Orlando. The next two or three nights we will pay with Hilton Points. We have a lot of points and are Hilton Diamond level. We will be traveling with DD14 and DS10.

Should we stay at the Hilton the entire time or move over to the WA for a treat? I heard they upgrade more frequently at the Waldorf. Would love to get a suite to have some privacy for my husband and me.

I would prefer to stay at the Waldorf for the whole time. On our last three visits the Waldorf has actually been less expensive than HBC (I assume this has to do with occupancy rates as over Memorial weekend Hilton was showing a rate of over $300 while Waldorf was at $233 and now Hilton is listed as sold out).

We prefer the service at Waldorf although we do go to use the pool at the Hilton. We have had 4 stays of one night only where we were upgraded to the parlor suite with connected bedroom. Other stays at Waldorf and Hilton we have just booked the suite.

Have you tried an MVP rate ? Those are often very good and maybe work could cover 2 or 3 days at Waldorf ? I don't know that I would split the stay, would most likely just pick Hilton if it was the only choice.

The suites we have had featured a sofa bed in the parlor and then we had a connected bedroom with 2 queens so I don't really know how private they would be but it solves our need for 3 sleeping spaces as no one can sleep with my daughter unless they wish to be injured.

I'd prefer to stay at the Waldorf the entire stay too but I know that it won't happen. DH usually has to stay more at Hampton level properties for work, so even if the prices at the Hilton and WA are close, he won't stay there during the work days because of appearances. So the choice is to stay at the Hilton the entire time or move over to the WA for the last 3 night.
