Hilton Park Soleil -- anyone stayed there recently?

We can stay there for free (using reward points) and was wondering if anyone has stayed there lately and what they though about it?

We were just there last week. We were there last February and we are going back again this February.

Last week we had a two bedroom which is really a 1 bedroom with a studio attached. We had a great time. The PS met the same high standard it set with us last year. Everything looked great, was clean, and well organized. We ate at the resort more this time as the traffic in Orlando was crazy. We were all very impressed with the quality of the food. I got a couple of the Parc Soleil burgers which were great.

Here's my review from last February:

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Jeff! We are going down in 3 weeks. How was the weather? Could you still swim? I am guessing not but thought I would ask. How far to Disney World? In the past we have stayed at Windor Hills and Palms. Are they still doing construction?

Weather was great. We were only there for 4 days and 3 of them hit 80 degrees.

We could definately swim and did every day. The pools are heated. The smaller infinite pool was warmer but not as much sun. 4 hot tubs to choose from.

DTD is 5 minutes away but 535 was a zoo last week with the Xmas travellers so everything took longer.

No construction is underway at this time.

Thanks for this thread on the Parc Soleil. I love every nugget of information I can get since we're staying there in mid-March.

Jeff, how long would it normally (last week not being normal since it was Christmas/New Year's) take to get to DTD from Parc Soleil? Just curious. Thanks!

5 minutes tops. You go to the resort exit, take a right, to the stop sign stay straight on Plam Pky, come to light at 535. Take a left, move to right lane, entrance to DTD is on your right. You'll have to pass the hotels but then there it is.

PS is kind of off the track as I noted in my review. If you are going North to Universal or Seaworld you will love it as Palm Pky runs parallel to I-drive without all the lights and traffic (and rt 4 in between the two of them). Go North and then take a right to cut over where you want to be.

Thanks Jeff! That's really good information. We're really looking forward to staying at PS. The reviews on Tripadvisor (and yours too) are fabulous. I think I read in Tripadvisor from someone who has stayed at all the Hiltons in Orlando that the PS is the nicest Hilton in Orlando.

Parc Soleil is my favorite of the 3 HGVC locations in Orlando. We stayed 4 times last year and are going back again the end of this month. Things have been consistently great, good food, good location, quiet rooms. We really like the parking garage. Last trip we had a bit of a hiccup with confusion over our reservations and they went above and beyond to fix the situation and make sure we were happy.

Can't say enough good things about it.
